I enjoyed the first TUF episode. Looks like a few good prospects could come out of there. They need more LHW's and female strawweights anyway.

Link to the live stream of the poker player exhibition MMA bout, 6 PM PDT/9 PM EDT:

Alright cool. I'll most likely check it out later tonight

Poker player mma fight lmfaooo
The purse is $270k, $120k from one guy and $150k from the other. Might be close to the biggest payday of the weekend unless Jon Jones or Bendo has a better deal.

Thats too funny, why are these guys beefing?

I don't play poker or follow the industry so I'm not up on the entire backstory really. Professional gamblers historically like to bet on a lot of crazy stuff among themselves. I'm just fading the guy with lesser training for entertainment.

I watched it. Some solid fights in the episode.

dem soccer kicks!! always wondered why more ppl don't try that..

I noticed I've been visiting the main ufc section of sherdog less and less for some reason. Just took a quick look and now I realize why, literally 90% of the first page was basically Connor or Connor-related topics. I mean, Jezus Christ...

true that, and then 90% of the responses are rubbish as well. I only check it every couple weeks now, bar breaking news threads and the like. this section is one of the best on the site for sure. and it's nicely hidden away from too many eyes

Khalil lived up to the hype. Shame Hawes didn't, but someone as athletic as him should have a bright future regardless

GJ on the quote, I totally nearly spoiled it for ppl lol. been a while since the last tuf!
I wonder if his ground game is good enough though, he could struggle against top submission guys. he reminds me of the lavar johnson of LHW with more potential. yeah that dude from jacksons was disappointing. was not impressed at all, but who knows the circumstances behind these exhibition fights.

tuf question for all. how long in advance do they know who they are fighting on the opening day? do they find out on the day or beforehand?

if that youtube isnt working theirs a girl periscoping it in better quality. https://www.periscope.tv/w/1BdGYDDdZeXKX

Theirs over 1 million in bets on this fight.
I just watched the whole thing on Periscope. The bigger guy Busquet with less previous BJJ or fight training who ended up as a slight underdog and who was the one who issued the challenge in the first place dominated. Alvarado got punched standing, taken down and couldn't get any subs off his back despite trying multiple times. Took heavy ground and pound. Fight stopped by the doctor or corner at the end of round 3 with Alvarado's face a bloody mess from what I could see on the stream.

He was just overpowered. Looked like maybe a 25 lb size edge for the other guy? The smaller guy looked like he had SOME bjj training but he got tired quickly and at that point he didn't shrimp much or try to set up subs. He basically laid flat on his back eating (fairly weak) gnp and throwing his legs up for telegraphed triangles and armbars every now and then. The gnp though weak added up. Both guys were really tired too. Not Kimbo/Dada tired but really gassed by the end of rd 2.

That was such a robbery i honestly feel bad for the smaller guy, they set him up good lol. He had 25 pounds on him and was on alot of PEDS, hgh and test forsure look at his twitter hes not even trying to hide it.

Hmm. Think I will play Pena at this price. She didn't look very good vs Eye but this one should be close.

Edit: Did Pena 1u. Expecting this line to tighten up.
