Bellator 154 - davis vs mo

Mo is horrible to watch IMO. He thinks his boxing is way better than it is.

Bella 154 Net: -176
Mo +210: 100 for 210 / Mo DEC: 100 for 370
awad -185: 92.50 for 50 / awad DEC: 33 for 123.75
picolotti ITD: 44 for 40
reger +300: 33 for 99

lol. just fucking lol.

mo won that fight. what a fucking shitty weekend.

mo rd 1 and rd 2. bad decision. just expect this shit lately.

herzcog nearly let cyborg die tonight. that was hard to watch.

in other news: fialho and piccoloti are legit. especially picolotti, imo.

Ugh I thought Mo edged that fight. Maybe I was bias cus he was the last leg of a $10 for $1090 parlay. I def do not agree with Davis 30-27s...

Lineker DEC
Moicano DEC
King Mo DEC

Was the parlay

I swear 30-27 makes me think a bit crooked. Like they want Davis to be their champ

I mean, those first two rounds were super close. Jimmy Smith would have you believe it was all Mo, but it most definitely was not

first was pretty clearly mo for me. 2nd was close, but still thought mo controlled the center, landed the effective strikes. he had the only td in that round, too (tho he did nothing w/it).

it wasn't a robbery. it was just icing on the cake of another frustrating decision.

I wouldn't have been mad either way. I had it scored a draw. Felt like a lot of Mos punches were landing on Phil's shoulder and commentary was acting like it was clean. Where as Phil was at least touching Mo with teh jab and some good kicks in the first 2.

Idk, weird fight, good argument for all sorts of scores. Thats why my main play was o2.5, luckily.

Just watched this. I echo EZ's comments, assuming we're not using 10-10 scoring as most judges don't ever do in reality, King Mo edged round 1 very slightly with aggression and more punches landed against Phil's lesser but perhaps more effective body kicks; round 2 was close again, Mo got a takedown but didn't do anything with it and I can see an argument being made either way; Phil clearly won round 3 rocking Mo with that punch and the takedown and submission attempts. Surprised to see two judges scoring it for Phil 30-27. Not a robbery, could have gone either way. The pre-fight value was clearly on Mo at ~ +200 and +370 for the decision prop.

Just watched the main card. No action for me. Disappointed in Herzog for not stopping the Cyborg fight earlier. I thought Davis clearly won the main event and I didn't understand why Jimmy Smith was ignoring all the body work that Davis was doing in the first two rounds. Most of Mo's punches came up short. Impressed with the judges, thought 30-27 was the right score or maybe 29-28 as the first was very close.

I had no action on Davis/Mo and thought Davis won as well. You can even argue a 30-27. Mo rarely landed and Davis was landing with his kicks. Mo head hunts way too much.

Also - Jimmy Smith's commentating was awful.

I had $$$ on an overpriced Davis, but this was pretty much 50/50 to me. 1st round to Mo, 3rd to Davis, 2nd flip a coin. A case could be made either way I think, but a draw would've made the most sense.

I personally feel a lot of people don't score Davis's striking because he looks so awkward with it. It's similar to Shields, but the kicks are actually landing.

different judges that night and mo absolutely could've gotten the nod. hell, several of us gave it to mo and most media outlets did, too.

i agree w/you, though. davis standup fights can be "tricky" to score

You can't argue 30-27 man. Mo made Davis miss all night and hit him with heavy shots. Davis hit a couple of bodykicks.

I don't know what heavy shots you guys saw Mo landing. It was clear Davis was trying to avoid the power and would be off balance while Mo threw telegraphed haymakers, but Mo did very little offensively as well. Let me put it this way - if I had to cap what the decision was going to be going into the decision, I'd have been fairly comfortable with Davis. He had the only extremely clear round.

I'm with Oblivian... I was on Mo and I was nearly positive he was gonna lose the decision after round 3. He got outlanded badly and also outgrappled.
