TBH, Dandois would've caught me in that submission as well. However, I'm not a professional fighter and, it's clear that Jessamyn Duke isn't either.

What will steroids do for Duke? She just lacks MMA skills.

For Vitor, steroids enhanced his current skill and allowed him to do more. Duke doesn't have any skills to enhance.

Had way too much on Dandois there, but she's alright.

Duke is on the wrong team for her skillset and getting the wrong matches considering her record. She left the UFC and then they gave her even harder fights in Invicta.

Steroids, and HGH make you bigger and stronger whilst boosting your recovery so you can train more and for longer. Strength and more training is always a big plus in WMMA.

Also, grappling requires less skill when you can overpower your opponents.

Did Alvarez call herself a striker?

5 of her 6 wins come via submission. Looks like she favors armbars.

She hasn't fought in 2.5 years.
 
i thought alvarez had the new nickname of weapon X, but still announced light's out.
