he caught his second wind and rode that through the 4th round. props to him for hanging in there, but it was still a pretty slow paced fight, and he still gassed out in the early frames of the fight. also stop bringing up the ''aldo'' thing, it's a very cheap and poor tactic to use. i frankly do not care, much like every other sport i do not have ''favorite'' fighters never had, never will. i do however have fighters who's style i enjoy watching more then others. but that's it.
and iv'e never said he isn't a good fighter either, if that was my opinion of him i wouldn't have backed and bet him against holloway, mendes & porier.
I honestly enjoy reading your take on most fights as you seem pretty passionate but obviously it's all through text. I was never bad as RobbieDawg IMO but I definitely matured and am able to discuss fights easier. Mostly unbiased.
I'll drop the aldo thing after this.
When reading your posts about Aldo vs McGregor and Nate vs McGregor as an outsider it sounded like Conor had no chance in hell.
Conor obviously countered Aldo early and the rest is history and I still think Aldo can beat him in the rematch. Better cardio, better kicks, and maybe even better boxing. I believe/ think Aldo just got caught being emotional. For some reason I don't see that fight happening again even though Dana says it or someone pulls out.
Diaz obviously choked his ass in the first fight but Conor did some things right. Diaz is a bad match up especially in a 5 round fight.
Like I said previously when we were discussing this fight he seems to have championship ability and mind set.
I think you kind of shook off my thoughts that McGregor would be more patient and look to still pressure but counter him similar to the Max fight even though he's orthodox and Nates a southpaw.
Didn't think he'd blow his load as quickly.
I also said that speed kills and for the most part Diaz had trouble with Conor's speed.
At range Diaz whiffed and was countered a lot.
Maybe I missed it but I've never seen Diaz have a clinch heavy gameplan before.
