Interesting. Thought as the boxing enthusiast you'd favor the guy with functional stand up (Herm) over the plodding dude whos stand up is very limited.

See the fight the complete opposite as your last sentence though. Askham slows and loses power while Herm picks up the pace and gets stronger as a fight goes on.

It's more the fact that Hermansson's defence is pretty poor and I think he'll struggle with Askham's power in the clinch. Barrages of punches inside and big knees in the clinch, he'll be able to draw Hermansson into a firefight. (in my opinion) Plus his kicking game is dangerous at range so he's not useless from the outside.

Hermansson does has a nice popping jab and straight punches but I don't rate his striking that high from a technical standpoint and he'll struggle to land as many straight punches against someone with the size and range of Askham.

Either way it should be a fun fight, both guys have power and will be looking for the finish.

Yeah i'm worried how Herm will deal with the pressure but seems his footwork should hold up fine against a guy like Askham. Not worried about the kicks at range though. That left leg is all Askham has from there from what i've seen and he doesn't set it up well.

Gotta disagree about looking for the finish too. Askham yes, but fully expect Herm to fight patiently and much more tactically. Confident in this so much so I didn't even bother with his moneyline and went with the risk of only hitting Herm dec

We'll see how it goes though. Definitely a fun fight, one i'm really looking forward to

Was saying smith is much taller and bigger then the 5.3" macedo, still that size of smith effects her and slows her down by r2,r3 and macedo looks to have that cardio edge, just not sure how she will deal with her kicking from outside style against a wrestler, probably not well for 2 rounds, if she is able to pop back up or close the distance and keep on the outside will hit some live bets on her.

Askham has never been finished, I think atm he is the more likely favourite for now but do like the joker style guess we will see if he is ufc calibar tomorrow.

Dalby looked pretty big framed and impressive, maybe it was just sobotta looking like himself.

C'mon in that match up reach is skewed. Latifi has a 50" back lol.

Ryan bader has a better reach advantage than the numbers suggest.

Bader's reach won't be the difference (because it probably isn't that significant), it will be footwork, cardio, and wrestling if he's able to win. He has power too so conceivably he could connect and stop Latifi but he really needs to avoid a firefight. That's Latifi's best path to victory.

Not telling you to compare reach by those two photos.

Reach is determined by middle finger length(R) across the back to middle finger length(L).

Since latifi has a large back it skews the reach measurement.

I'm willing to bet bader has a much longer reach if we measure middle finger tip to top of the shoulder(delt). I'd say closer to 4 to 5 inch TOTAL reach advantage(2-2.5 each arm.)
