UFC 203 PBP/discussion

Can we please rewind to Barry's post a couple pages ago? He always makes excuses for losses, claims he's still just killing the books, blah blah blah typical BS lying troll nonsense. No big surprises there.

But he actually complained that he didn't get his Faber bet refunded for a NC because Rivera kept fighting and the doc didn't stop the fight! So he bet on a guy who got completely dominated, poked the other guy in the eye, then continued to get dominated AFTER the eye poke but wanted his $ back because they should have stopped the fight!

You cannot make this stuff up. Even for Barry this is unreal.

I don't see one about Faber but I saw the one regarding Werdum vs Browne and he kind of has a point lol. Any other ref would've waved the fight off.

Grats buddy. I didnt bet rivera itd tho i had him straight and dec. Round 3 i thought it was over with the poke! Thank fuck rivera fought on blind

The poke happened in the 3rd round so they ought to have turned to the score cards at that point. Your decision bet was safe. I don't think the O2.5 rounds would have paid though.

Yeah agree on the Browne fight so won't take Barry to task about that. He's right, and I had a little on Werdum decision too so got lucky.

But here's Barry's quote on the Faber fight (Barry had a big bet on Faber I believe and was complimenting everyone else who went with him at dog odds:

"Then you've got Faber vs Rivera which should have been called a no contest because it was clear as day Rivera couldn't see out of his damned eye."

So yeah Barry thinks he should have gotten his Faber bet refunded and the fight should have been stopped as a NC. Forget that even had they stopped it Rivera wins a technical decision anyway LOL.

LOL perfect example of why I love barry. Pissed I missed that post, would've given me a good chuckle

Standard Barry. He was also mad that they didn't stop Conor/Nate I after r1 due to the cut.

Longer version of Werdum chaos

So Riveras eye is seriously fucked and the doctors doesn't know if he will ever regain full vision on it. Fucking Faber man, this is the second time in a short period where he does this when losing. What's so discusting about it is that it looked like it was on purpose, he legit open hand slapped him in the eye. They need to fine him to set an example.

Posted in the UFC section about this. It sucks there isn't much you can do after the fact at this point, but when this is 2 fighters who have suffered eye injuries via Faber eye pokes, in his future fights any eye poke should be an automatic point deduction.

They atleast have to do SOMETHING with him, they cant just let things like this slide. Stuff like this that ruins careers has to be taken seriously by the commissions.

I would be all for a fine or suspension, but realistically I think there is little chance of it happening since both were deemed "accidental". Just a real shitty situation where its a certainty the repercussions won't match the crime, but I at least hope these infractions are a talking point for refs/commissions and they don't let Faber get away with this shit ever again.

I want to just so I know where I'm going wrong after a long period

Like if theres a pattern of l's and they are all against women?! Yeah know what you mean i bet after a year it makes interesting reading.

Thats terrible dirty fuck. Really hope a career isnt ruined here rivera is a beast. Cant see him beating tj or cruz but outside of them think he can beat anyone.

i dont know if there is better sites but this one is free and seems easy to use for tracking bets:

spelboken.se

going to start doing it myself finally :)

Unfortunately, I learned the hard way on this. I had Omie DEC as the last leg in hail mary parlay paying out ~1k in the Danho fight. Although it went to a decision, it wasn't a "3 round decision" because the fight was stopped short bcus of the bs nut shot. It counted as itd since it did not go the full distance

At least on 5d, that would have counted for a Rivera itd

I legit texted my friend right when it happened saying he did Jimmie just like he did Francisco Rivera. I haven't rewatched it, but at the time I thought it was on purpose

I will give Barry this, the Browne fight should have been stopped. Luckily for me, it was not.

Shortly after losing on Eye (which would have been a huge win + would have cashed my hail mary parlay of Gall sub, Eye dec, and Tavares dec), I made another one with

Rivera DEC
Gall SUB
Werdum DEC
Stipe KO

Sorry to hear the loss but been their many times myself, everyone has given excellent advice here, like many have said its a not a sprint but a marathon, have to try and look at the long term here.

I had to make many adjustments, lowering my stake or ignoring fights and simply waiting for a better card or better fight, doing my best to not chase (although very hard to do), you need that right mind set of being the turtle, you may take hours to get to the finish line but you will get there and win, while ignoring the rabbit.

I say to ignore the rabbit since its easy as blokes to see other people hitting crazy winning numbers around here and lets face it we all want a piece of that, but one has to be happy for them instead, its not a competition remember your end game is to be successful long term.

Keeping a separate bank account and managing bank roll is key, something mentioned above so almost think of it as money you are almost willing to lose, try not to dip into your savings or wages, don't quit that day or part time job either its an guaranteed steady income to pay bills. Separating these will help you keep more disciplined in your approach. I also regularly withdraw money every month usually one or two units, so if I lose a big amount its almost been covered through regular withdrawals and I don't dip into that so my savings or regular bank acc remains in the +.

UK bookies have a motto, loath it but its true 'when the fun stops, stop' easier said then done and I bet most of us ignore it with the chase.

Again not suggesting to stop, and hey you made 40K in your b365 account? So somewhere you had great success, did you argue and get your money back from them? there have been reports of bookies blocking large withdrawals before, you can post here for further advice.
