Finally caught up. Seems like people are either on Gall/Perry or Sage/Jouban. Resisting the temptation to pick a side, I like Gall/Jouban.

While I wouldn't be the least bit surprised in Sage winning by tko/dec or Perry putting Jouban to sleep I look to the following as the decision making factors:

We know that Gall has good Non-MMA grappling and so far has demonstrated good overall grappling (albeit against absolute cans) + we know Sage has shown some major holes in his grappling. I am also putting my faith that Gall is decent on his feet/tough enough to get into the clinch and work takedowns. He seems too confident to be scared to get hit and quit in a fight (something Sage has done in the past). I currently do not have a bet, but will probably stab Gall sub line.

I agree Perry has the better chin and probably carries more power, but I do not see many (any?) wrinkles to his game. He has good hands, but just wades into the pocket without any real set-up. Jouban has a much more diverse striking game and has shown to have pretty solid clinch skills as well. This is where I think he can win the fight, either staying outside the pocket and range strike or if forced into the pocket look to clinch and punish Perry there before resetting to the outside. Again, Perry could walk out and starch him and I wouldn't be surprised, but if odds continue moving towards Perry I will probably place a bet on Jouban, in addition to fight ends ITD.

Assuming he wrote the article when Gall was -150 and he believes sage should be -150. Well. Then rhere is nothing wrong with the way he wrote it.

One of my biggest bets ever was Cain v Brock and I could not believe how high Brock was favored at like -130 come fight time

-150 is not being "favored by a large margin". -300 is "favored by a large margin". -150 is "favored by a slight margin" or "favored by a small margin". If you are being generous, "favored by a moderate margin".

Seeing value in someone at -150 is an entirely different conversation. You become a favorite at anything favored above +100. Capping Sage at -150 is completely irrelevant to the margin that Gall is favored.

Same surprised Brock was the fave.
When two good wrestlers meet it's likely a striking battle and I favored Cain in that department especially after decapitating big nog.

He says HE. Key word HE is surprised he is favored by THIS large. So he is saying in his mind -150 or so is larger a fave then he expected. He also probably writes a shitload without thinking some will nit pick his wording. This is him speaking from HIS perspective. He is NOT saying this is a large favorite in your eyes or everyone's eyes. He is saying HE is surprised that the line is where it is at.

Sadly. I bet Cain in Vegas at like evens. Then drove home to see him get to like + 130/140.

That difference cost me THOUSANDS. Close to 10k

U do understand u are arguing something subjective. What YOU consider a small or large fave is not binding to everyone.
