i dont get the cannonier hype at all. he beat Asker LEL and then squeezed out a decision against cutelaba who is one dimensional (although with a wrestling backround i guess) Glover outclasses this cannon dude.people stop flushing ur money down the toilet....
<{clintugh}>
The dude has REALLY nice footwork for a 205er and great boxing and power. Glover is coming off of a KO loss, is slow as hell and is only getting slower at his age. That's where the love is coming from

I agree that at current odds Glover is definitely the right side, but Cannonier showed good footwork, power, and a chin against Cutelaba, who is a straight bruiser. Coupled with Glover being on the downside of his career, I can see why some people would be on Cannonier as a bigger dog. That said, I think Glover will just take Cannonier down and use his grappling/GnP. Wouldn't be super shocked if Cannonier caught him if it was mostly a stand-up fight though..

I've made 2 big 5u bets for the year.

Was on Shev, now on Glover. Lets keep the big ones rolling, playing everything else very small.

P.S Glover is one of my fav fighters, so I wouldve bet him anyways. Take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Yuta Sasaki is the type of slick grappler who can catch a lot of people off guard if they’re not careful. I can’t see Wilson Reis falling into one of his traps however. Reis should be able to get Sasaki to the ground with ease, and once he sets up in top position he’s one of the most controlling grapplers at 125. Even on the feet, despite having a massive height and reach advantage, Sasaki hasn’t figured out to use that range yet which means Reis should get entry to his takedowns with ease.

Nik Lentz is a perfect test for Islam Makhachev at this point. Makhachev wants to get inside on opponents and grind on them with his grappling. If he can do that against someone like Lentz it will be a very impressive feat. Through 17 fights in the UFC, the only person who has really been able to beat Lentz in that manner has been Chad Mendes. There’s a lot of hype behind Makhachev in general, and it could push this line further in the Russian’s favor despite a tough matchup. That may be enough for me to take a shot on a fighter who has been very good to bettors over the years.

Since coming into the UFC, Ian McCall has had six fights. He’s also had to withdraw from fights six times due to injury or illness. That doesn’t include the three times opponents have pulled out of fights with him in the past year. It’s now going on two years since McCall stepped into the Octagon, his body is absolutely falling apart, and he’s gone through four consecutive training camps to get to this fight, with no payoff at the end. If he’s even close to 100%, I’ll be absolutely shocked. Jarred Brooks probably isn’t the unknown guy you want to be facing in that situation as the undefeated fighter is a very solid grappler, and this would probably be fairly competitive with McCall at his best. I may have to take a shot on the youngster, although he could be in over his head accepting this bout on short notice.

He hasn’t been out quite as long as McCall, but Ryan LaFlare hasn’t seen the cage in well over a year. Before the layoff, his only UFC loss came to Demian Maia, and LaFlare was able to do better than most against the current, dominant incarnation of Maia. LaFlare has been put on his back before, and that could be trouble if he ends up there against Carneiro, but on the feet LaFlare should be busier, and he should be the one getting top position more often than not. I’ll be picking LaFlare, but can’t trust him in this spot.

Rick Glenn was in a horrible spot to make his UFC debut, but should rebound nicely here. He doesn’t have to worry about being put on his back in this fight, and Nover isn’t a particularly high-volume fighter which should allow Glenn to control the pace. I think the end result is a decision for Glenn, but I’m not too interested in betting it at the current price, as Nover tends to make all of his fights competitive.

Honestly I've watched the tape and I think Holm has the skills to win; however, this is one fight where I think you have to throw all the tape out the window. Holm doesn't seem to have "it" anymore. She has no swagger and after loosing to Meisha, she looks and sounds scared and I don't mean that as insulting

Holm is more skilled but I don't think her head is right. This one is probably a pass for me unless one of them becomes a real dog.

Does anyone know where Lentz is doing his camp? If he does it anywhere other than a local camp I really like him as a dog here.

I like Nover and Carneiro as dogs.

Rick Glenn has never impressed me
Even going back to his WSOF days. He doesn't have a good ground game or power and while Nover leaves much to be desired, he can make it ugly and win.

LaFlare has done some nice things but his odds are way too long imo. Carneiro may be aging but he's always game. Worth a flier imo.

really? i think laflare is very underrated and is a horrible stylistic match up for roan imo.

Not sure why Glover opened at only -210. But at the same time, he is kinda underrated. Opened at -190 against Rashad and -140 against OSP

I did 1u on Brunson at -120. I like that price and will be happy if Silva wins anyway so its a win win lol.

He's -160 now, wtf is going on.Glad I snapped the -150.

I like Jim Miller +300 . Miller has faded but can still put on an honest fight. DP coming off a pretty heavy KO loss less than 5 months ago.

Think LaFlare takes this pretty easily. Carneiro struggles to make 170, you could see in his last fight he is worried about gassing so his out put was very low. Think LaFlare kickboxes his way to a 30-27.

Miller has no power tho. He has one TKO win in 8 years in the UFC. Well two if you count Gomi who has no ground game and got stuck as soon as Miller got his back. If DP was facing a power puncher then yeah i could see your concern.

How many fights in a row have been canceled for mccall? I wonder if he will be over trained

I haven't seen La Flare fight in a while, so need to watch tape. Is the juice warranted?

Liking Glover here, as someone said above, Cannonier was getting beat until Cutelaba gassed. Then he just walked him down. Don't think he can do that with Glover.

Silva getting a play, as is Belal. Need to watch way more tape before I pull any more triggers.
