Briones out, marking the 3rd time this fight has been cancelled. Rumours of Marlon Vera as replacement
Oh shit I actually wanted to bet Briones. Thought he looked good despite recent losses.
Vera sux but he is always ready to fight it seems. What a guy.

Early on in some tape study I'm liking Brett Johns, Timothy Johnson, Tom Breese, Makwan, and Vicente. If any of these guys are underdogs I'm gona go heavy but they should all be priced decently high, maybe parlay some pairs.

I wouldn't be sure about Johns. Entwistle is really dangerous with his leg locks and you never know when he can catch you. Ian heel hooked Birchak and gave hell of a trouble to Perez. I favor Johns too but Entwistle is too dangerous. Johns is too unathletic grappler for my taste.
Leon Edwards is a really good striker and his grappling has improved a lot too. He wont get ktfo'd so easily i would be careful.
Although I favor Makwan his foot has been out of the door for a while. I think he left SBG Ireland and been doing TV appearances etc. Not a good sign.

That was my main concern with Ian, I think that's all he has to offer Brett although it is a very realistic outcome. Leon has some serious power especially for how quick and long he is, imo Vicente has better technique and should be able to push Leon back especially in round 2, 3 and he has a slick guard. Thanks for the Makwan tip I'll definitely look a lot into his interviews leading up to this fight.

Ill definitely be on Allen at + odds. Makwan has been cashing in on his "fame", doing lots of shit reality shows etc. He was also supposed to do his camp at SBG, but apparently he's in Finland.

In fact, last week he was in the news after knocking out a burglar who tried to stab him with a screwdriver. He posted a picture on Facebook of the burglar laying on the ground next to the screwdriver, and it looked so fucking staged. Police also said that the story made no sense lol.

You mean this? Its obvious thats its fake.. you know why? How can he put his hand under forehead after getting knocked out? I think this guy didn't want to touch cold snow with his head.

This is my main concern with Weidman.

So Briones is out... apparently the UFC have a potential replacement.... I'm literally stumped as to who.

Replacement announced as Marlon Vera, that looks like a much more winnable fight that Briones was?

Mind Blown....

At first I was gonna tell you to get stuffed but I think you are onto something here. I also didn't realize this was 5 rounds.

I think Jimi gets a KO early or gets drowned. Very interesting points you made.

Yeah, at first glance I thought Manuwa, but after watching both of their previous fights, I really favour Anderson here. Look at how easy OSP takes Manuwa down, he also looks pretty lost off his back, makes no real attempts to get up, and the only reason he was able to get up is because of the mistakes OSP made, Anderson won't make these same mistakes.

Compare that to the way Anderson looked vs OC, took him down at will, didin't just LNP, but solid GNP, elbows, punches, it was brutal, and he looked fresh as fuck after it all. But you could be right, Jimi could KO him in the first, but like I say, I like Anderson's fight IQ, I think he finds the TD early and keeps it there, he'll do that every round until Manuwa is finished.

Currently 3u on Corey ITD, looking at adding more to his ML.

o1.5 at -160 I love too. Corey is pretty methodical with his ground work. Assuming we think he gets early TD (and I do) this should hit pretty easily imo.

But also with you on Corey. I think he wins here.

My man! I'm 3u deep on Corey as well (ML).

Manuwa has zero offensive and defensive wrestling chops. Unless he gets a KO in the first round or 2, its gonna be a long night for him.

Yeah hoping the Corey rd 3,4,5 lines are juicy...

Agreed, gonna watch tape on Anderson but Manuwa is a fish outta water on the ground. OSP himself is a terrible wrestler and was able to take him down. Hell OSP even removed his hips after a coupe of minutes of hanging ontop to allow Manuwa to stand up. I never realised how thin LHW if these guys were top 5.

I'm on Corey for 2u right now myself. He clearly has a wrestling and grappling advantage, his stand up has slowly but surely gotten better and better, and hes probably the best prospect at LHW. Surprised how often he gets overlooked in that discussion tbh. Just like everyone said, Jimi needs a quick stoppage or the grind is gonna wear him out
