Weidman could not continue because of Gegard's knees. Pretended they were illegal. Deserved to lose.

It was a fine stoppage. Don't know what the announcer was yelling about regarding the doctor supposedly stopping the fight due to her lack of MMA knowledge.

Seems like the All Americans (whatever the fuk that even means) are racking us losses these days, him and his pal the clean cut white boy Wonderboy, LOVING IT!

yea white americans are the worst...sigh

Massoud is getting cut & Bellator can't afford to pay him with the big money going to Chael, Tito & Mitrione.

In the long run this good for Weidman, plenty of rest & still I think 3 more fights on contract to fight Bisping & Rockhold.

Massoud is getting cut? Again, WTF are you talking about?

Mousasi should not rematch him. He won by TKO. He should fight Rockhold.

Wonderboy has one recent loss. To a champion, no less. What are you going on about?

Maybe interim fight against Yoel?

He pretended that those LEGAL knees murdered him, keeled over like he couldn't continue because he was done and getting smashed by Gegard.

This is confirmed in the post fight interview where he was ranting about illegal knees and then was proven wrong on the replay.

I don't blame him for trying because he was finished at that point. I feel bad for him because he's a good guy but that was a legitimate TKO loss.
Gegard was getting his ass beat

The knees were legal... But it's BS to blame Weidman. Mirgliotta stopped the fight and declared the strikes illegal.

Yea he wanted to play them up as having hurt him and it backfired

I'm not convinced that he was intentionally trying to be deceptive. He may have been or he may not of been. We simply do not know. We simply do not have enough evidence to make such a judgment. From what I understand , Immediately after a fight, you're mine isn't necessarily firing on all cylinders it is easy to feel convinced about things that werent so till you see the shocking replay. I've heard Rogan talking about this specific phenomenon and how he actively tries not to humiliate the fighter anymore than necessary, While at the same time, heeding his moral obligation to set the record straight with video confirmation.

I don't know about the impending doom, but I do believe he wasn't hurt as bad as he was leading on.

I think he did what most fighters do when they think they caught the other fighter doing something illegal, was try to milk it, to either...

A) get a breather
B) have an excuse if they lose
C) to get a point taken away from the other fighter

Except I think it backfired on him.
Either way, fighter should not get 5 minutes for a legal blow, but since initially it was called an illegal shot, he was allowed the time.

Who knows?...it was all a big mess!

That's some strange fucking logic there buddy. How'd you even draw that conclusion?

Bullshit.
That was 2-0 Chris up to that point.
He was fine. Friggin robbery.how could they not have just restarted it ?

he was hit by knee strikes while trying to make himself a downed opponent(at various fractions of a second he actually was). the ref told him they were illegal initially. Is it impossible for someone whose been knee'd in the head multiple times to think they were illegal still?
I think the issue most people are having is that he acted like he maube couldn't continue, but once the ref told him the knees were legal he seemed to change his tune. In short, no matter what he believed, he seemed to be milking it.

Moose for titleshot. Weidman tried to milk out a lost fight. But because he's the all American blablabla he will probably get an undeserving rematch. Even Joe was talking about it in the post interview. Take your loss like a man. Everybody including himself said this was the best him ever. Than learn the bloody rules.

2 clinch knees that happen all the time in fights, many times knees like that have been called illegal under the old rules and the guy just takes a minute then is good to go again. If those knees knocked Weidman as silly as he made out, legit TKO. The other potential situation is, like some other other illegal strikes that we've seen in the past, he wasn't that hurt, then he made a meal of it and tried to either get a rest or a DQ. Either way, he was either knocked out by legal strikes, or he quit.
You cannot call bullshit for any situation. Either he was legit rocked as badly as he made out, at which point, TKO. Or he wasn't, and decided to take 5 minutes rest even though he wasn't hurt, at which point, TKO.

you can be hurt by something without it immediately stopping the fight. Look at weidman before the ref stops the fight, if every fight was stopped when someone landed two solid knee strikes would you be fine with it?

I absolutely loved that acting hurt got him a loss.

I HOPE this was a warning to future fighters to NOT act hurt if they're not hurt.

He didnt get TKOD though. Ref is the one that pulled them apart while they were still fighting.

Your wording and logic is a little weird.

In your words...
he pretended he was murdered, kneeled over like....And then a few sentences later you essentially say he wasn't pretending at all and was murdered.
