Every new poster that came into the thread within a month of Robbie's banning was accused of being robbie lmao

He is so damn popular here... I think that he has a strong chance of winning the next US elections.

True that. It was mostly because your account was created around the same time brick top got banned if memory serves.

PLOT TWIST: I'm actually Robbie

Loving maia after tape watch. R3 against matt brown put me off a bit tho and so has the fact he could have aged in the past 9 months. His tds at ww are sick while mas has been taken down at 155 by the likes of darin cruickshank and james krause. Even lorenz doubled him. Ok he wouldnt have expected it but still i dont see how maia doesnt get this to the mat. Cardio and being nearly 40 main concerns.

Kenny Florian Breaks Down Jorge Masvidal vs Demian Maia

cliffys
-maia works well against the cage
-maias ability to find positions to take opponents backs
-maias size advantage over mas
-masvidal speed and movement- needs to avoid clinches
-masvidal massive boxing advantage

all of maias losses in ufc

Jorge Masvidal training highlights for Demian Maia Fight at UFC 211

Alvarez-Poirier odds are very close. I think Eddie should get the win, especially if Dustin decides to brawl with him.

Just lb this card got leans but no real confident ones. Beni + vick or cejudo was my double but lines are a joke. Got 2 units on andrade but will reduce that to one. Im so confident about stockholm card im just gonna go extra big there.

Why the confidence decrease in Andrade?

easy "hedge" with Mas Round3 :)

I am leaning towards Eddie as well, I like Dustins style but Miller had him hobbled in the third round of their fight and he was landing in some of the exchanges. I just think Eddie will be very hungry after getting dominated by Connor, I know a lot of people think he will be mentally fragile but I think he comes out aggressive and wants to make a statement.

I hear everyone's feelings about Alvarez, but I just think that Poirier kind of sucks. I can't get the quite old images of him getting slapped around by KZ and for a little while, Jonathon Brookins, out of my head. Watch that last fight against Jim Miller. Jim, who despite his resurgence is still a shell of his former self, had Poirier battered by the end of that fight.

A glimpse into the mind of a God. I'll release My full thoughts when I feel like it.

MAIAS GAME IS VERY BASIC. HE PAWS WITH HIS RIGHT(SOUTHPAW) TO DISTRACT AND GET HIS OPPONENT CLOSER TO THE CAGE THEN HE USES A SINGLE LEG ENTRY, WHICH USUALLY FAILS, TO DRIVE HIS OPPONENT TO THE CAGE. BEFORE I COUNTINUE LET ME JUST SAY THE MAIA DOES NOT "RUN THE PIPE WELL", OFTEN HIS HEAD IS ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE LEG AND HE'LL JUST DRAG HS OPPONENT TO THE GROUND. NOW WITH THAT SAID, FROM THE CAGE MAIA WILL TRY TO FINISH A TAKEDOWN, TRY TO TAKE THE BACK STANDING(LIKE OLIVEIRA), GET A BODYLOCK AND ATTEMPT TO FINISH THE TAKEDOWN FROM THERE. ONCE HE GETS THE TAKEDOWN, HES LIKE QUICKSAND, THE MORE YOU STRUGGLE THE MORE HE ADVANCES. HE WANTS THE BACK IMMEDIATELY AND LOOKS FOR THE CHOKE AS SOON AS HE GETS THERE. IF HE GETS IT, OBV HE WINS BUT WHEN HE DOESNT, HIS CARDIO COMES INTO PLAY. HIS CARDIO WILL ALSO BECOME AN ISSUE IF HE FAILS ON HS FIRST 2 TO 3 TAKEDOWNS, HE'LL HAVE EXPENDED ENERGY AND EGO MAKING EACH TAKEDOWN THAT COMES AFTER HIGHLY UNSUCCESSFUL AS MAIA HIMSELF STOPS BELIEVING HE'LL GET THEM. IF HE IS FORCED TO STAND HE LOSES BY KO WITHIN 2, IF HE IS UNABLE TO GET THE CHOKE IN RD1 BUT GET THE TAKEDOWN THEN HE'LL BE SO TIRED THAT HE WILL BE FORCED TO STAND HALFWAY THROUGH ROUND 2 AND ALL OF ROUND 3. GIVING ALL THOSE FACTORS AND A FEW MORE NOT INCLUDED, THE LEVEL 2 THOUGHT OF MAIA WINNING A DECISION BECOMES FOUL, MAIA MUST SUBMIT MASVIDAL AND HE'LL MOST LIKELY HAVE TO DO IT IN ROUND 1. THE SAFEST PLAY HERE IS FDGD.

spot on. value at current price

Problem is Maia is BIG. He fought Anderson for the belt at MW, whereas Mas got done fighting Ross Pearson not too long ago.

Can you imagine a fight between Anderson Silva and Ross Pearson?

It would be fucking murder.

Cerrone destroyed Cote and he also fought Anderson for the title

Is this supposed to prove me wrong?
No, but a lot of people were overestimating the size advantage Cote had in that fight and paid for it. I personally don't think size will be that big of a factor in this fight. If Maia is able to get Mas down and hold him down, it's via superior grappling. This isn't a case of someone like Brock Lesnar just bullying everyone he has a size advantage against

Really hope props go up tomorrow. Just want to get my final bets down and strap in for the week since I'm gonna have around 27u up on this card

Branch +155, no more waiting. This line is for sure off.

We have seen a lot of people moving up a weightclass and having success as the smaller guy. Maia being close to 40 and cutting that much weight is not a confidence increase that he should win imo

Any stare downs yet, I want to see the size difference between maia and mas

My thinking is maia wont expend as much energy wrestling a smaller guy, mas is propably the same size as gunnie.

Maia looked really fresh grappling the smaller gunnie a superior grappler then mas, facing a huge rory he expended alot of energy in that first round making him starting to gas in the second
