FOTN to lewis-hunt.. no argument i guess, wasn't stiff competition tonight..

POTN to hooker and nguyen. both are ABSOLUTELY deserved...

...but man, i feel bad for derek brunson. he has FIVE rd 1 ko's in the ufc since 2015 and NONE got a bonus.

Well that was one of the worst heavyweight fights I've ever seen. I thought it was going to reach kimbo dada levels

Really pathetic performance from beast. He gets beat by cardio.

Won small tonight. Mr Steele ruined everything. That was about an 11 unit swing. Parlay buster. What a chump
Wasn't just cardio, he was saying in the interview afterwards his back was fucked.

is that you in 2nd in the gamble master comp?

Up small again. Dom Steele losing made a right mess of my round robins. Bastard.

Best card ever for me.

With Hunt winning i ended up $3,400 up for the night.

Sorry but how anybody can put money on BB who love MMA is beyond me. The guy is atrocious. KO power of course but skill just isn't there.

I don't claim to be #elite but i hope i am playing a part on this forum making people money.....
Hunt was under the gun, he's the oldest fighter in the UFC, he was coming off a very recent brutal KO loss, etc.

There was a ton of risk there but I'm glad it worked for ya... this time.

Fifth event I a row in the red. Down 1.5 thanks to Steele.

Lost on Cheon single.
Lost on Steele on about 5 parlays.
Lost on Pearson single and 3 parlays.
Lost on Elliot single and 1 parlay.

Up to the point of Hunt vs Lewis match I was in -100% profit. All lost. With no exception.

Then had 5 units on Hunt vs Lewis o1.5 at 1.90 odds.
And an unit on Hunt KO R4 at 18.00 odds.

Mark Hunt completely saved this for me. Blessed Hunto.

Made a slight profit of two units or so, but god damn my heart was RACING. Never have lost so much bets on single event. On a serious note tho, fuck Steele and Pearson, last time I bet on these bums.

/edit: Also my third event commenting on this forum. Third event I'm still on the profit line. For whatever it's worth. Bad call on the Korean :eek::eek::eek::eek: tho - what an embarassement.

Man I really think they should have gone no FOTN and just give bonuses to some 4 combination of Cutelaba/Pichel/Brunson/Hooker/Ben10. Not sure what more you can do to get a bonus for a lot of those guys

Lose one event all year until the last two weeks. Now back to back losing events to start the month. Horrible feeling but kind of inevitable in this game.

I agree Brunson robbed of potn bigtime.. hunt Lewis wasn't that good. Didn't need a fotn

Same ballpark here

Sadly another crap ufc next week but we'll get them back

Im sure dana has an excuse for it. He's not a needle mover, wasn't impressive enough, he's not a big name, blah blah blah......

A bit less than before but yes I still think you're overvaluing Hunt. Would you bet on Hunt if he were -220?

Well, I'd pass, but just because of the unknowns and the fact that it's a HW fight. But I'd bite at -200 still.

My point was that Hunt was getting severely underrated and only because of recent losses. People were a prisoner of the moment. I mean, it was a case of undervaluing Hunt, and overvaluing Lewis. Somewhere along those lines here an inflection point had people believing TBB was far better than he really was. And Hunt far more determined. Despite video evidence to the contrary.

I know it's already happened and I don't want to relitigate the case. But here is what pushed me towards the Samoan and off TBB.

Hunt:

  • Losses to Reem and Werdum are not bad L's. Plus Hunt was winning the Werdum fights handily until he wasn't lol His fight with Reem was very close but it was a bad style MU just like the Stipe fight.
  • People were acting like Hunt, in recent years has completely fall apart. This was inherently wrong and easily proven to be so both on paper and through video. Since 2014 Hunt has been 4-3-1
  • Every fight he had was against someone the top 10. Each of his losses were against fighters in the top three over Reem + Werdum and The champion Miocic respectively.
  • His victories — at the time — were also in the top 12 in Roy Nelson + Bigfoot and Frank Mir. Three fights that took mark a total of just 9:42 to dispatch the trio
  • His losses to top 3 were very competitive save Stipe who murders everything in his path right now.
  • Hunt dropped Werdum x 3 and was winning until the most unlikely scenario possible takes place. We're on that flight back at that same time and hunt likely win 7 out of 10 times.
  • Hunt is 8-4-1-1 over the course of the last 14 fights. Most of them coming against bona fide steroid users.
Lewis:

  • Lackluster performance and weak oppo.
  • Was clobbered by Jordan and Meathead before he picked up wins over HW roadkill like Grabowski, Pesta, Guto and Jack May.
  • Has victories over the elderly Big Ccuntry — in a contest for worst flight of the year — thennanother Razzie award winning performance against Shamil Abdurakhimov where he was losing four straight rounds before the Russian gas tank dried to parchment.
  • A craptactular "W" over Travis Browne were he was being absolutely obliterated by Travis Browne until Travis Browne had a bad time to remember that he was in fact circa 2017 Edmond trained Travis Browne and thus found a way to lose.
  • Only ONE Top 10 fight and victory. Over the aforementioned Travis Browne.
I digress. This was my ammunition to make a bet on the Samoan as an underdog.

so many captain hindsights here just shut up

Heavyweight variance is precisely why I think -275 was way too much, especially considering Hunt's age and potential red flags. I didn't think Hunt would look so fast compared to BB but it is what it is. We all know BB wasn't the most gifted striker but I think if this fight were replayed 100 times, the majority of the fights wouldn't look so one sided. I wont even use the retirement and potential back injury as a cop out, that was precisely how Hunt was going to win the fight. But I don't think he'd win in that fashion 70% of the time. The closing odds were enough for me to arb out and just watch as a fan. I knew that shit was going to be ugly

First event back for me in a month and i got my ass handed to me. Also to add fuel to the flame i also lost a DK H2H against someone who picked both Elliot and Nguyen.

It is hilarious. It's as if they don't realize how it comes across

Word of advice. State how much u won or loss. Congratulate those who won. Let those who lost know that it happens to the best of us. Then move on to the next event.
