Anyone else on Gilbert Melendez? Why is he the slight underdog?

Cutting to 145lbs for the first time in a decade and a half, testing positive for PEDs the fight before last, tail-end of his career... I would've definitely picked him to beat Stephens a few years back, but now I'm not so sure. I'm passing on this one for now .

Good points...I've been looking at his career...he pretty much has fought once per year, for the last three years.

How has Jeremy Stephens looked?

Stephens has looked decent, despite dropping 4 of his last 7. He still carries lots of power and is hard to take down. I expect it to be a close one that plays out on the feet for the most part, but it's hard to say what Gilbert has left in the tank and how he'll react to the weight cut. Depending on line movement, playing either side as a decent sized underdog wouldn't be a bad play, IMO.

What @chemmy said. I'm happily on stephens near evens. Also stabbed at stephens rd3.

Very much a fade of Melendez.

unless his recent injury has not properly healed and he misses weight, if you want magny i would bet him before the weigh ins.

the 5'7" rda is a little guy, even more so when he will be standing next to the 6´3" magny.
That's what I meant fwiw, that RDA is probably going to take this so people who back the likelier-fighter-to-win should wait until after weigh ins.

Just coming in here to say again Magny is going to stomp RDA, and that this card sucks.

I'll be on Gil if he looks good at weigh ins

really? after this layoff and first cut to 145? i'm already on stephens for a couple

Yea. I think Gil is the type of fighter that can beat Stephens if he's in shape

Went somewhat heavy on schevy. Her line will get blown up. Just like last time, will be looking to live bet her as nunes is a front runner. Schevy tko +644 hit that small rds3-5 small

Small play on johnson itd -102. Borg is tough but johnson has been finishing just about everybody. Pretty drastic step up in competition here for him. On the under 4.5 at -105. Probably will do rds 3-5 as well

Parlay Johnson itd with schevy itd. Hard to see nunes lasting 5 rounds with her cardio, I mean, sinus issues

Going to have to think a bit in these other fights. Cejudo is definitely not worth the juice but probably controls the fight while avoiding the submission. Favor the over

Stephens has been more active but I could see Melendez taking a decision here. Moderately heavy on the over

Magny could give rda problems with his volume and length. Pretty significant size advantage here. On magny by decision at +274

Mcmann will probably be -300 here. Parlay fodder

Curious to see what Tyson Pedro's line is

Kajan getting fed to Adriano Martins has gotta be WME's way of thanking him for shooting off at the mouth about fighter pay at the athlete's retreat, right? Kajan Johnson may very well get murdered here.

sell me, amigo? i don't see it

I like Magny here straight off the page,

Size difference should be massive and I just see this being a Magny jab and run battle

Will Gavin Tucker be super juiced? Because I see him smacking the holy hell out of Glenn, showcase fight this one

Created this thread so I could post this here - Nunes says she's still feeling the effects of her chronic sinusitis and not training at 100% (fight 5 weeks out)
That ugly lesbian is not confident hahah money coming on shev
http://www.tsn.ca/video/nunes-explains-why-she-had-to-withdraw-from-ufc-213~1175119

"Even right now I don't have 100% breathing. It's hard for me to sleep. I can't control this. Especially when you travel. Even in training it bothers me. I haven't been able to train 100%."

UFC 213 was 2.5 weeks ago.

--------------------------------------------------

Reddit is calling bulls*t from people with the condition -

"as somone who has had chronic sinusitis for over ten years (had to get surgery for it), this is total bullshit.. antibiotics for 10 days (max) would have cleared it up..it sounds like she is prepping excuses."

"Yup, same here. Any time my sinusitis flares up I get a scrip for antibiotics and I'm felling better within a day of two and completely fine after 7-10 days."

People on Reddit and in general are stupid. Antibiotics are for bacterial infections. Most sinus problems are from viruses.

In short, antibiotics don't work for sinus infections.

I've had them my whole life. I don't think nunes is bsing about not being able to train 100%

yeah antibiotics never did a damn thing to help my chronic sinusitus. just made me feel sick.

there is no way you can train 100% with bad sinuses. not even 80%.
