Normally I would pick Cyborg. The difference with this fight is that Holm has fought better competition than Cyborg has. Name one notable opponent Cyborg has fought, ever. I'm not saying it's her fault since there aren't exactly a line of women waiting to sign a bout agreement to fight her, but she hasn't fought anybody. Holm will come to win and that will be the difference.

Cyborg has looked unstoppable, but she's never fought someone with the credentials of Holly Holm. I can see how it would be hard to bet on Holm, but I think she actually gets a stoppage. Cyborg will get picked apart and beat up. The girls that give Holly tough fights are great technical strikers. Cyborg is a brute that will get brutalized.

It's very rare that I'm wrong when I don't care who wins, and I absolutely could not care less about who wins this one. That's just my completely unbiased opinion.

Technical counter strikers like Holly and #MyGirl Valentina have their ways of making fights close as fuck. It's the nature of their fighting style, evade and counter.

Holly won't stand there like Tonya and take shots to the face over and over whilst offering no offense.

The people who think Cyborg will just walk through her are in for a rude awakening, do you really think Holly is just gonna' sit there and let Cyborg kill her ? It's not happening like that, she'll do her best to survive, draw it out, and she'll at the very least offer more of an offense than Tonya, Leslie and Lina for fucks sake. Those three did fuck all, they got praised for 'putting up a fight' and being 'tough'/'brave' aka not folding after the first exchange. They were praised for being punching bags.

For Holly Holm to stop Cyborg you can get 8/1 - that is nothing short of crazy.

Then if you look at the over/under, it's curently at 1.5 rounds. This fight will 100% go longer than 1.5 rounds and at 4/9 odds, that is practically free money. Could Cyborg land a big shot and KO Holm, sure could. Could Holly catch Cris with a counter and TKO her quickly, sure could. With all that said, Holly isn't a presser and she's also elusive enough to not get caught in the first round. I think that is a shoe-in.

If you then look at the individual rounds, you can get Holly by TKO in Round 3, 4 or 5 at crazy prices like 33/1, 40/1 and 50/1.

On paper this is a close fight - but with odds like this, it's begging to be bet on.

Even Holly on points is 4/1.

I said the same about Joanna, I asked who the fuck she fought who could actually strike. No one could ever name me those 'great strikers' she put to the sword. I got a lot of shit for it for the longest time, till she got starched. She got by with fantastic TDD and by striking non-strikers in a weak division.

I see similarities with Cyborg, who the fuck has she beat who could actually strike ? How many women has she fought who were tall, lean and athletic ? Almost all of her opponents are undersized, they can't strike and many have soft little bodies. They crumble, they offer no threat. They're punching bags collecting a pay check.

People put too much into 'unbeatable' auras, you need to evaluate what's actually happening in there. Holly is something completely different to what Cyborg has ever faced in WMMA.

Yes and no.

Ronda wasn't 1/16 over Holly just because people were betting on Ronda, the oddsmakers just clearly couldn't see Holm winning and wanted to minimize the payouts to the customers who were betting on Ronda. The bookies must have lost a lot of money on that fight.
