My bad, didn't see this at first buddy. Basically even though Silva hasn't looked like a killer or anything against mediocre comp, he's the younger man, been more active, more well rounded, and a better athlete.

I like what I've seen from Silva so far. Vinc can bang but as you've mentioned he's only had one fight since 2014. and that lasted a bit more than half a round. I think he could out strike Silva but I also think Silva can out strike him and get the better of grappling exchanges, esp if Vinc does start to tire, which I think is likely considering he's spent such a small amount of time in the cage lately, and Silva being able to go the distance and win, albeit closely, in his recent fights.

I agree it's a risky play, tho, so I'm a bit nervous about it, but I'm gonna take a chance on the more athletic 28 y/o who's shown he can grind out Dec's and also has the power to end fights on the feet. But as mentioned I wouldn't be surprised if Vinc was able to out strike him and/or ko him.

I don't think Silva's gonna be anything special but I think he's got talent and on his way up, whereas Vinc is getting older, has had injury issues and more mileage and I believe he's close or already on the downside of his career.

All fair points man. There's definitely more question marks on Vinc here. Like I said I didn't like the way he looked prior to the KO against Brown, it's def possible he's not the same fighter that he was prior to the injuries and other issues.

That was a weird fight to try to figure out. I’m not sure if Pichel was very calm and calculated and trying a new approach or if he froze under Brown’s flurries but got lucky because Brown got overexcited.

Vivisection boys got a good read on the Kim kish fight. Rebush got it a pick em! Loves the line

Agreed. Whatever the reason, Pichel looked different than I've seen him look before though.

i just realised, kim has a fucking 72 inch reach WTF?!

that's like a welterweight male reach.

Jacare moved to a new camp? Not a good sign.

Not necessarily a bad thing for someone in his position...he’s been in the game forever and doesn’t need to be at a super gym to constantly try learning new techniques (especially considering how high level his jujitsu is) A lot of times at the stage of his career it could be a good thing to get more attention put solely on him/his opponents from the coaches

He’s facing Brunson and was sparring with Alex Nicholson on that UFC promo. I’m not sure if that’s really bad or pure genius.

In my head I didn't lose my last fight, I always show up, we've always liked the matchup, the only chance he has is on his feet, pick him up and hold him down like an older brother

2 blocks away from my house, full time fighter, it's a blessing, it's been 10 years in the sport, this will show my hard work, I'm not supposed to win this fight, it will shock them, pressure is there in front of friends and family, he's a better wrestler, but I'm better BJJ, if I get on top of him, it's going to be a nightmare for him, I'll give him problems on the feet and if he tries to take me down, give him problems there

Going to be alot of people here supporting me, former college teammates, I put on great fights, I'm used to being the spot light

My dream is to teach kids, I moved to this country, I love this country, family and wife is happy, I'm coming there to win, I'm going to finish him, he only has hands, I have everything else, he's going to be afraid and walk backwards, I will get him

Watching tape on Silva and pichel

If pichel doesn’t knock brown out like he did what would you think the fight would be capped at?

Silva is a good looking up and comer. He’s got a chin and will pressure pichel just like brown was having success doing.

Silva was getting dogged with the left hook from melagarie the whole fight though. mad dog beat him gassed.

Pichel looks like he’s throwing some heat and he had good timing on that brown counter even after a long layoff.

I slightly favor Silva but I’m a bit concerned about the amount of punches he takes

im leaning pichel. just a small bet to have action. i just dont think there is much to silva. throws a few hooks in bunches now and then. faced weak competition. i think pichel works him out. he likes his tape study. much more to pichel. more variety of shots.

I like Kim's size and length to pepper Kish to a high volume decision.

Thoughts?

dont see reach being a factor. when they on the feet they are just gonna be swinging

You don’t need reach with kish. She’s looking to rush in and deflect shots with her face

Any Thoughts on the Green/Koch over 2.5? Currently sitting at -161 on a few sites. Is Koch that chinny? I aam aware hes had some problems have the lamas fight Every time i watch green fight i admire his technique but am always frustrated by his lack of volume/willingness to play into other peoples fighting styles.

I kinda like it, if anyone's finishing it's Koch. Really like Koch NSC +120

yeah i mean, i doubt reach will play a factor since neither fighter seems to have any understanding of distance control - but since the better boxer also has an 8 inch reach advantage, it definitely won't hurt kim when she's looking to land those combos.
