Oh my bad, only half a lap. Cheering like a maniac after a legend of the sport close to his 40s snapped his leg

Feel free to watch this if you can get over your PTSD for 40 seconds or so. Or keep trolling, bud. ;)

He was checking on Anderson 10 seconds after it happened. This is why I say you hold fighters to unreasonable standards because you ignore all the other factors that comes with it. They are locked in a cage, they are pretty much sweating adrenaline and in this case it was the fight of his life against the GOAT for the belt. They are fighting, period.

These guys (well most of them) aren't robots. And it's not like he jumped on the octagon and went nuts. It was a half ass celebration for 10 seconds and he immediately went to check on Anderson but got pushed away.

It's his natural reaction to what happens that shows his real character. What ever he does in the moments after he has a chance to think or be told how to act is irrelevant.

I agree
DC celebrated his win over Derrick Lewis, after hanging on his bad back for 2 rounds, so why not bash DC, cause he was celebrating another guy being unable to do anything due to his lower mobility

Guys should be penalised for these things

In fairness, when a dude kicks you in the leg and falls to the mat screaming bloody murder, instant replay is not needed...

ah right... you've been in the situation many times and are obviously the expert. If you say that a broken leg is obvious to everyone within a split second then I guess it must be.

I don't have hatred toward Weidman, but he and his fans were annoying after he beat Silva the 2nd time. Acting like it was planned perfectly to break Silva's leg... I get being confident, but he was cocky after his fight with Silva and carried that through the Belfort and Machida fights against fighters who were out of their prime, but had big names.

His first true test as champ was against Rockhold, and we saw what happened with that. And then he failed another big test against Yoel, and again with Mousasi. Now he failed again with Jacare, who isn't even a known KO artist or elite standup fighter.

I've never liked Weidman, didnt think he was anything special. I guess it just takes time to show that. Now you can see he wasn't anything truly special once he faced elite competition. The only thing he's managed to put together is a win over Gastelum who he had a good size advantage over. He's never been elite, and was fortunate to be champion when he was. He was better than the fighters approaching their 40's, but once better competition came along, he couldn't hang.

His only shot at being champ again was against Bisping, but that ship has sailed. I don't see him being champ ever again.

Was wondering why is this thread against Weidman

*Looks at OP's name*, there we go

Yea, and as we all know, adrenaline and rational thinking are best buddies.

It's not a video game.

I completely understand your agrument but I can't help it think he really didn't give a fuck what happened. I'm sure if it were a fighter I was more attached to, I'd think differently.

It's okay man, the not so great Weidman dominated your dickpopping cheat boy twice.

I hold fighters to unreasonable standards? I'm not in here judging Weidman. But your point was "Weidman didn't have instant replay", as if he didn't know Anderson's leg was broken. He definitely knew Anderson's leg was broken before he celebrated.

Silva nuthuggers are 100x worse than Conor nuthuggers

Hiw many years has it been? 5? 6? Weidman beat him twice with ease, then your hero went on to fail multiple drug tests and fade into obscurity

Get the fuck over it
Trust me, nobody is worse than Conor's nuthuggers..

Chris:"I knew I hurt him with it. I wasn't sure if it's broken, until he put his foot back down to the mat, then I knew right away it was over."
Journalist: "What's that moment like, what's going through your head when you know you did that to him?"
Chris: "It's over. I won. It's awesome...and then, then, then... Oh my God, I broke his leg, I feel bad for him."

For someone who claims to be the best middleweight in the world, Weidman sure gets KTFO a lot.

Doesn't matter if it was a "split second". Weidman knew he won the fight because of it. You're probably at a loss mentally if you can't figure out he broke his leg in that moment.

1) Guy kicks your leg
2) Immediately falls to ground screaming bloody murder and clutching leg
3) Realize you've won the fight because guy is on ground screaming bloody murder and clutching leg

You don't need to be in the situation to know something very bad just happened, you genius.

TS, still angry about the past?

You need to get over that shit.

Of course he knew he was hurt. Obviously since the ref stepped in and called it. The problem I have is with the people acting like he celebrated the fact that Anderson got his leg shattered, not his actual win and that he was being an asshole about it. That's unreasonable, imo.

My b if you're not one of those people - might have misread your first post to begin with then. It's early over here.
