UFN 143 on ESPN+ 1 Cejudo vs Dillashaw

Belals most likely path is dec

Neal’s is the ko

I don’t think Neal wins on points

I was right there on Belal until reading through @PolarBearPaulVarelans @turbozed @Sadistics @piglord breakdowns. I've completely switched sides now. Frankly, I think you and they are right, Neal gets it done. And I think violently so. Actually quite happy with my flip; the dog odds on a solid guy were muddying the waters for me.

You will see tonight why. gregors wrestling skills are elite and as well balanced as yancy is those takedowns will not stop coming
I'm aware of how good Gregor is he's just going up against a guy who was recently top 15 at 170 and far more skilled everywhere compared to guys like featherweight sized Rinaldi and aside from wrestling Yancy will have advantages in a lot of areas. If you read just up you'll see I also played on Gregor Dec, Gregor is good, but overrated imo, I can't wait for him to face guy someone like Gaethje and fade him hard. You need more than a great wrestling base to do well in MMA especially in that division.

Curious to what you guys think about texeira vs roberson. I was really impressed by roberson in his last fight and i think he has a really good chance to take out texeira. Texeiras striking seems to have gotten worse and worse i mean when he fought jared cannonier he was having trouble on the feet and had to resort to takedowns with minimal activity to win that fight and i wasnt all that impressed. But robersons striking skills look very impressive and ahh fuck it im throwing 20 on karl
Cause who wouldn't want to stand and bang with Jarred Connonier? It's not like recently flatlined David Branch or anything.

Taking a chance on recountre dec +300

Probably end up playing Neal rd 1 +325. Already on his itd line
Want to play his ml
I quite like Recountre. Could see him grinding a boring decision or getting a late sub.

Neal might win rd1 though it will likely be close, Belal likely takes rd2 and very confident he takes rd3. Belal might even finish in rd3 but dont quote me on that one. I think if Neal finishes its rd1 otherwise his chance to finish is slim.

Gillespie will slice through Medeiros on the ground and thats where he will finish him, GNP from dominant position or force Medeiros to give him the SUB.

I will have a few

Neal needs a finish in 1rd if not then i don't see him holding out well agaisnt a heavy grinder.

The win against branch was very nice for cannonier but i still dont see him as a world class striker and in terms of diversity of strikes roberson has a much more well rounded arsenal than cannonier. Imo glovers only way to win is to either submit him or blend takedowns well enough to win majority of rounds but glover just hasnt looked like the same fignter as he used to.

And lets also not act like david branch is a top tier striker also. His clinch game and grappling are great but he is pretty rudimentary in the striking department

I still feel like he is severely underrated i havent heard anybody mention his name at all until recently. And just off watching his fights in ufc i have been blown away by how quick, explosive, and non stop his take downs have been. He hasnt even looked like he has come close to being tired yet and ive seen him spam takedowns for minutes on end. People arent gonna want to hear it but he reminds me alot of khabib.

He’s definitely live. Fight should be close to evens

Going to play him small straight too

Like I said, this is kind of like low level wmma, go with the dog with better wrestling

To those betting Neal, what’s the likelihood of him winning a decision?

His line has went up quite a bit. I wanted to get on hi ml when he was -160 but have been busy all day

I've seen him touted as the new Frankie Edgar and a future championship level guy for a while. He's a great wrestler, but that and having solid cardio isn't that much at lightweight. I like his chances vs some guys even Khabib would be a good fight but guys with solid takedown defence and better striking will always exist to wreck him even if he's a top 15 guy for a long time. Not to mention his BJJ game doesn't look anything impressive. Top guys won't get manhandled as easily as Vinc Pichel or whoever and Gregor struggled with his first opponent too yet aside from that fight he's been a big favourite over everyone he faced.

They'll probably give him another easier match up with someone like Trinaldo after this only for him to finally face a top contender and get destroyed. I mean as it is he's pretty much Kevin Lee with worse BJJ.

Is there any point on betting on this Chance Encounter vs Kyle Stewart scrub fight? Didn't Belal Muhammad beat Chance to a pulp a few months ago?

He's arguably one of the best wrestlers there is in MMA. A national champ and four time all american. He's also shown ridiculous athleticism which makes his wrestling adapt to MMA well. I don't think you are going to find many with solid takedown defense that can stop his wrestling if he wants to put you on your back.

For every Mendes there's been an Aldo, or for every Romero there's been a Whittaker. He's great but I don't think he's anywhere near developed or well rounded enough to be getting so much hype. I guess we'll see how he progresses.

Look to each his own opinion but you are just establishing false equivalancies. He literally fights nothing like frankie edgar at all and has way better wrestling credentials than lee and frankie. Im not saying he will 100% be champ or anything but he 100% has massive potential to be a champ. His wrestling is very elite and i just dont see anything all that special from yancy. I like watching the man fight but yancy seems to be one of those fighters that are pretty good at everything but not great at any single one thing. Regardless im pumped for these fights tonight should be some bangers.

hardy completely unproven. crowder +400 is a must
how is that a good bet if he's never won any of his UFC fights? i watched him vs big pretty and he looked slow with no head movement. Even his win against Don'tale mayes looked terrible for both.

Skill for skill he's pretty damn similar to Edgar just more aggressive. Both are wrestle boxers with great cardio, obviously there's more to it than that but I can understand the comparison.

I'm not saying Yancy is anything that amazing anywhere but he is a far tougher opponent than anyone Gregor has faced and has solid advantages in multiple key areas. We've seen plenty of wrestlers with great credentials get destroyed like Sara McMann, everyone seems to forgot she's a great athlete and Olympic silver medalist but her MMA career has been rather underwhelming. As soon as someone stuck her on her back she looked hopeless or she equally lost to a far less credentialed wrestler in Miesha Tate.
