UMBRELLA ACADEMY (Season 3 Trailer; Returns June 22, 2022)

Mary J Blige is an awful actress. Why they cast her is dumb. She weakens the show.

i kind of agree

good call. that was bugging me. I recognized the voice but couldn't place it.
Yeah he gained back weight for this. But recognized his Ed Kemper voice right away though

In finishing up penny dreadful, (good times).
I’m impressed.
I’m gonna check out RR Martins series next.
After that, I’m thinking about giving Umbrella a whirl.

When u traveling stuck in traffic or airports, Netflix is the shit.
Been a good friend the last 2 years.

When she was a kid she was alright now she looks assexual lesbo butch

Just finished the season. Few thoughts. The fact some can find Ellen Page attractive is mind boggling, super happy Hazel and Agnes had the suitcase there, and the entirety of the FX budget was obviously spent on Pogo. Cuz the little Ben reveal in the theater straight up looked like some Ghostbusters era shit

Just finished it. I can't believe they actually pulled off a superhero dramedy with the spirit of a musical but they did it. And I'm pretty jaded with TV shows lately, but it was pretty damn good. Kept me hooked and they handled the timey wimey stuff well enough that it doesn't give you a headache.

Episode 5
- The music choices are fucking on point. The songs almost never seem out of place in the scenes.

- Poor Klaus; first he has to deal with I See Dead People since he was a kid, now he's got PTSD from Nam.

- The montage of 5 whacking people throughout time was pretty cool.

- Hazel loves him some GILF.

- I knew Vanya's new boyfriend was a bad egg. As soon as she said the First Chair didn't turn up for work, it was obvious we were going to find out that he killed her at some point. He's not just a stalker, though. These pills he stole and flushed must have been cock-blocking her powers, which means her adopted father considered her too dangerous. This guy knows it, and he's trying to release her powers for whatever reason. I get the feeling Vanya could be the one to destroy the world.

I was hesitant at first based only on the picture. (Not a good reason) its actually pretty good.

It's 100x better than Daredevil. Not as good as Preacher imo, but definitely worth watching.

Pogo (the monkey) feels like they modeled the character's face after John Hurt.

I dunno but it feels like Ellen Page has been playing a lot of mopey roles lately.
I’m so tired of Ellen Page, she has become her own trope by now. I’m starting to wonder if she even acts, or just plays herself in every role. I dunno, maybe I have missed something she was in recently where she played an actual character.

Dickon Tarley from GoT that got ate by the dragon isn't that bad of an actor for clear action movie type guy
like he's not really a good actor, but he has the size, presence, and slight charm to pull it off

I was so disappointed when they didn't end White swan like the comics did.

You know what this means. We need a big screen blockbuster starring ellen page and Kristen Stewart together where they each vie for a boy with unnatural speed and strength

Will they smile at any point though? Kristen Stewart is attractive though even if she has the acting range of a tightrope. Ellen Page could play a character called Ellen Page and she would still make the character even more Ellen Pagey.

So like, we’re the guys who made the Umbrella Academy comics huge X-men fans? Getting some x-men vibes from this show.

w/o the embedded Racial strife from the original series

reminded me more of Watchmen tbh

I mean, the X-men parallels are there though, from Dark Phoenix, Beast, even changing the past. It’s not a criticism by any means, I enjoy both, I’m just noticing a few similarities.

Oh no doubt
Kids raised in an academy to hone their powers......is quite Xmenish haha

I watched the first episode. Pretty solid. I'll give it a shot. I never read the comics either, so it'll be interesting.
