I guess I just can't wait. Going to bet Volkan for the sheer value alone. Can’t wait to fade Reyes but Volkan is not trustworthy enough for a bet.
Why fade? He's not some Johnny Walker hype train. Can’t wait to fade Reyes but Volkan is not trustworthy enough for a bet.
Thank you for your input. Reyes does have a better cardio for sure.

Yea it was surprising to me. He had a pretty good first rd and the he just seemed to crash.Haven't heard anything, but Duffy is used to having a reach advantage and guys trying to work to get inside on him. He seemed to struggle navigating Vick's length. Cardio looked good in Poirier and Madidi fights.

He’s starting to get old by lightweight standards. Diakiese has a speed advantage and kicking advantage. A little rangier even though the reach is listed the same.
His brick iq in the hooker fight is concerning.
I don’t think Duffy can put the pace and pressure on that he will need to to keep diakiese on his back foot.
Duffy really doesn’t use his wrestling either. He would have an advantage on the ground if it goes there. Diakiese has pretty good get ups
They have done diakiese no favors on his last few fights. Hooker and then baby gastelum back to back.I'm starting to warm up to Diakiese. Getting cracked and finished by Vick (bad ref stop aside) is not a good look. At close to 3:1 I think Diakiese is the right side versus 2019 Duffy.

He was actually winning the third round agaisnt hooker until he went agaisnt his corners advisement and went for a takedown into a tight hooker guillotine
Ponz isnt a brawler, he has one of the best jabs in the division.Seeing more than a few Leon picks, but without any info or breakdown so I had a look at some tape. I have a couple concerns:
-He beat the hell out of Cerrone, who was 'sick in bed all day, never felt like that before' on fight day and 'told my corner I don't feel up to [fighting]'. Not verbatim but close enough. Takes a lot of sheen off that win but still a good result against a good fighter. But Cerrone is an absolutely known entity at this point.
-He rocked Sobotta straight away but followed him down (WHY do fighters do that? Just let the guy up...must be pure instinct cause so many fighters do it...) and was vulnerable to a submission immediately. Calmly muscled his way out though. But not a fan of the IQ in that sequence. However, if it wasn't IQ-related then Leon was eager to out-fight Sobotta at his own game. Which he in fact did, 4:59 of the 3rd sorry FGTD bettors, but for long sequences Leon was only stalling, wasting time, or (briefly) surviving on the ground. Round 1 of Cowboy-Gunnar will give Leon an excuse to follow Nelson into his guard if the opportunity arises.
-Leon seems to have a great chin. Anyone see him get rocked or knocked down before?
-Carries power in his left. Has an 8 second KO. Bloodied Cerrone. Knocked down Sobotta.
-Lacks killer instinct and this points to low IQ again.
-Has good TDD and great-to-excellent get-ups. Cerrone landed in his guard and Leon popped up fast. Sobotta went for a couple 3rd round TDs and Leon sprawled fast on the first one, was taken down on the second but got up immediately and eventually broke away.
-His sub defense was good against Sobotta but Gunnar is a level, or two, above him I think.
I'm sure Gunnar will study the Sobotta fight second by second and if Leon is as willing to go to the ground with him as he was with Peter there's a pretty good chance he gets choked out. Ponz is a brawler, Leon is a sniper. I'm not sure Leon can sleep Gunnar like Ponz did, but it was a short left that put him totally out. Nelson took some big shots from Cowboy and seemed ok, although the early elbows might've wobbled him.
edit for TLDR:
Gunnar is quite live, imo.
Oh. 100u on him now. This romanian dude is LEGIT
Are you sure your name is not Kyle?Reyes is still extremely green and reckless especially with his kicks. The openings are there and I‘m also confident that a good grappler will crush him just like DC crushed Volkan. He is definitely not the one to be the future champ in my opinion. I‘m questioning his fight IQ a little bit as well because he gave OSP time to recover when he had him hurt badly (similar thing with Leon Edwards btw when he fought Cowboy).
Johnny Walker is just as a hype train as Reyes is. Hype trains are not a bad thing and they can be justified. Both guys beat similar type of fighters (Khalil & Ledet> Kimball, Christensen. Cannonier at LHW was about the same level as Khalil & Ledet, Cirkunov = OSP).
Even though stripper Johnny is a question mark himself, he has more BJJ accolades, is more athletic and has more ways to win fights, oh and he is a way better striker than Reyes btw.
