4/5 since going back to LW and all submissions. He is now back in the top 15 and I think he is a dark horse and he could very well be able to submit anyone in that division.

Don't sleep on him, I think he has path to title contention with another win or two. He has been looking sharp.

Absolutely, definitely one of the most underrated fighters in the UFC.

He has lost to:
Max Holloway
Anthony Pettis
Cub Swanson
Jim miller
Ricardo Lamas
Paul Felder
Donald Cerrone
Frankie Edgar

All of those guys are certified beast, I think Charles will have an epic second half to his career, similar to Maia where he was able to reinvent himself and go on that long winning streak.

Everyone loves a good punching bag

Doesn't actually fight anything like Maia though.

Better subs than Maia, but Charles gets outgrappled sometimes.

I always thought they mishandled him.... Just fed him to the wolves basically off the rip... He was very young and facing divisions elites..

While the experience may end up benefiting him in the long run... It still seems they could have handled his fight selections a little differently..

Hopefully he keeps improving and filling out... He should be a force at 155..

dude's a badass. could have finished Teymur with strikes but chose the sub because that's his thing

Don't agree with the assessment overall. He is as close to the term "Glass Cannon" as you can get without mentioning Barbosa and I love to watch Aloe-Vera fight. He needs a higher level fight soon.

Not so much.

Maia is a significantly better overall grappler, both in pure terms and applied to MMA.

Catching subs is a skill that is often delinked from positional dominance/advancement in MMA.

Striking looking way better.

The fight would never happen but I would love to see him fight Nate Diaz. Joe Lauzon would be a nice fight too and more of a possibility.

One of my favorites but every time I think he's about to break through and become a true contender, he loses. Hopefully he gets that big win eventually.

He loses almost any big fight he's in.

Misses weight often.

He will lose once he faces another top 10-15 fighter.

But I'm a fan, always exciting fights. Underrated fight for sure on sherdog is Nik Lentz vs Oliveira 1.

No he's not. I can't imagine Maya getting subbed by a striker..

Kid is a beast

Like all his fights, finisher.
