You write like you took a lot of big shots in those 10 years tbh.I’ve trained for over 10 yrs but what do I know
your postings seem so random to me it's like you are throwing the dice to decide what you are writing next.
It just makes no sense.[/
ok I’ll keep my opinions to my self and you guys can have your little forumYou write like you took a lot of big shots in those 10 years tbh.
Not really true. Every time Millender was taken down in his last two fights, it occurred when he came forward and threw strikes. He has a problem with recovery and balance, but when an opponent shoots from range with no set-up, he defends fine.
And yet, Millender defeated 3 of those 4 guys. Clearly, the simple act of taking Millender down is not the end-all, be-all in beating him.
More relevantly, while Alves, Griffin, and Bahadurzada might have slightly worse wrestling than Muhammad, they're also far more dangerous on the feet, with far more powerful, technical punches. You might be surprised to see Muhammad have the same level of success as those previous fighters, or even less, simply because Millender doesn't have to worry about being hurt by his punches.
I can understand betting Muhammad at plus odds, but at plus odds the other way, I'm happy going with Millender.
Alves isn't much of an offensive wrestler, especially nowadays, but Griffin and Bahadurzada? Their wrestling is decent and they have beaten and controlled UFC-caliber opposition with it. They used some effective set-ups against Millender, too.
Calling them "poor" is an exaggeration unless you're claiming that there are about 4 decent wrestlers at 170 and 2 good ones.
Examples? Against Neal, for instance, he simply shot in from long distance with zero set-up.
You can argue the same thing about Muhammad's approach towards Neal. (A fight where a good deal of the forum was betting on Muhammad because of he was going to beat Neal with his wrestling)
You're also oversimplifying what happened in all 3 of those fights.
What evidence is there of him being "completely gassed" considering he continually threw powerful strikes and tried to grapple? Bahadurzada was no more "gassed" than Muhammaed was "gassed" against Neal in round 3. Rather, both guys were stunned and hurt at times.
I can guarantee that I have you big internet tough guyYou write like you took a lot of big shots in those 10 years tbh.
I think a lot of people are overreacting to Millender's last loss. I remembered I was one of the few on Zaleski against him. I had to make sure I wasn't going crazy and checked the thread on that event. Did so many people have a high opinion of him that just dropped after that quick of a fight? Zaleski is far more dangerous and a finisher than Belal. I think the biggest factor here is that you have a decision fighter facing a guy who typically does not lose decisions. Millender is hard to get comfortable against, especially with a guy like Belal who is very hittable. Shooting from a mile out against Millender is dangerous as well.
I also think we need to put into perspective what lines people are betting. I have Millender at +130. I can't really knock people playing the other side at the same price. It's a close fight.
We're still waiting for Jones and Khabib to lose.
You don't really need to be dangerous to dominate Millender on the mat. He's been taken down by every UFC opponent and was only able to get up vs a severely concussed and gassed Siyar. With such a quick turnaround I don't expect improvements.
A Bostonite? Shouldve known as much, this reads as if it comes form a 60 iq potato slagger who likes to trade concussions with the boys for funWhat don’t you understand and I’m form Boston, you say my post is bad and I’m missing something. Eh don’t you explain
Why don’t you go fuck yourself because you have prob never stepped foot into combat sports. You can disagree with my opinion but do not need to attack my intelligence or my City. Look, your post was bad because Its nonsensical;
Grant is like 35 and has shown little to no evolution in his fights, hes a low volume counter striker with power
Hes not gonna show wild improvement and everyone here knows this except you apparently
Well it was preferably a halfway intellectual mma forum until you came here and tried to show off the fact that you train at a planet fitness or whateverWhy don’t you go fuck yourself because you have prob never stepped foot into combat sports.
