He gave him plenty of time and Joshua showed no interest in fighting. Ref gave him what he wanted.

Just wave it off then

Don't ask "do you want to box" get a yes and then stop it. Because that makes no sense

So again, dumb but justified. The fight should have been stopped. The way he went about it was stupid

AJ is begging for the rematch and telling him about all the money they will give him.

But he is gonna cry in the car
He ain't begging for shit, it's already a done deal.
Put the weed down.

Want to remind you guys that Joshua won his first belt 3 years ago. That's how much time was wasted without making the two fights people were actually interested in seeing (Wilder & Fury).

Joshua just said in the post fight that he'd prefer it was Wilder who knocked him out. Weird thing to say.
Because that one would have generated more money. AJ was always a money fighter.

This is was Rakam vs Lewis all over again

It's not just a "yes or no" question. The ref is looking at his eyes and body language. Joshua was resting with his arms on the ropes the entire time.

As I've said numerous times and gotten shit for, Joshua would have the same career as Fraudley if he had come around 15 years ago before boxing and the HW division turned to such shit. And at least Fraudley legit earned his gold and didn't get it because it was in the UK

UK glass exposed for the millionth time. Stick to cricket, blokes!

This doesn't make any sense. 'UK' is a nationality. Having a strong chin is about genetic makeup. If Joshua has a weak chin, it would be down to his genetic makeup, not his passport.

Welp, this was bound to happen at some point.

Boxing has this problem where these guys waste so much time in fights nobody gives a fuck about instead of giving people the big one and that's when bullshit like this happens. The amount of money AJ lost here probably can't be counted.

I don't think AJ lost that much money. He'll probably make 30+ million for the Ruiz rematch but if he loses that, his 8 figure paydays are gone.

AJ needed to lose anyway. He's too cocky and hasn't improved much.

honest answer?

would you rather lose in a super fight against another undefeated phenom?

or a guy who has a retired mechanic's body and is unknown?

I think it's obvious anyone would rather lose to Wilder, which begs the question, why the fuck was he fighting Andy Ruiz then? Oh cause he thought it was an easy payday, I must have forgot

Nah, because Wilder knocking him out makes the consensus perhaps that just Wilder is better than him, and maybe a question about Fury, and there’s $40MM+ coming back his way in a rematch. Now he’s in a clear 3rd position, if not 4th, I mean Ruiz has the titles, and while he gets paid well, the rematch won’t pay as much as a Wilder one would.

That said, he lost his Zero, I think this makes fights easier to make now.

I wasn’t paying attention to the buildup, did Joshua hold his camp in the US? If not that’s a mistake that usually doesn’t pay off too well.
