UFC 239 - Jones vs Santos

Claudia and Diego?

{<huh}
I was referring to Gilbert Melendez. His last win was six years ago against deigo sanchez. Now both of these shot old fighters are on the same card primed to lose

Claudia is on a decline. Hopefully she’s still training at ufc pi. Wherever shes training at you can count on her gassing inside of two rds

Seems like I am the only one on here that likes the line on Jan. I think it could go either way, its going to be a competitive fight imo, Jan has got a decent all-round MMA game now that his cardio has been sorted. 1.7U at +150. If he hadn't been so reckless, he could have won that fight against Santos. If he does something retarded again, he will lose, but if he stays behind his jab and crowds and pressures Rockhold he could well get a win, and I suspect Rockhold's chin.
Don’t forget this fight is at 205, meaning rockhold is barely cutting weight

All my bets are tied to Edmen Shahbazyan. This card is like the last one imo. A lot of favourites who should definitely win. I really don’t see how Edmen loses here.

Marshman can’t wrestle, is a part time fighter, is less athletic & doesn’t have a clear edge on the feet at all. Darren Stewart and Charles Byrd would beat him imo. He is the absolute lowest level at 185 next to his last opponent Phillips.

The UFC made this fight as the opener for the big PPV card because they want to see the young prospect smoke his opponent dominantly.

I think it's the same with Arnold Allen fighting Gilbert... What has Gilbert been doing with his time off, any one know? Where has he been training?

The Allen fight is similar. It looks nice to have a former champion like Gilbert Melendez on your resume.

Same reason why they booked Nunes-Holm. Give Amanda another win over a champion and when Cyborg beats Spencer, they will book the rematch.

Holmes had nothing for Valentina, but Nunes beat her both times even if it was close... My initial instinct was Holmes but I think I am getting swayed by listening to internet chatter again. Nunes is a power house and Holmes is old and predictable... Got subbed by Tate :/

Go back and look at Jones' record. Go back and watch his last fight where many people lost on betting Jones ITD. I agree Jon can finish him ITD but the question is will he.
Another good reference is watching his OSP fight that went the distance. Jon tends to play it very safe if he sees any potential danger.
Just the opposite. He toys with fighters who arent a real threat and goes for the finish against fighters who do.

OSP and Smith went the distance because Jon wanted it to. He could ha e finished either if those fights almost whenever he wanted to. OSP legit had a look on his face "why isnt he finishing me?"

ITD is no lock for this fight. No one should be surprised if its 25 minutes of slow torture

To be fair Smith stopped trying to win and was broken. He just wanted to survive and held on to Jones‘ hands on the ground to not get punched. The OSP fight was on short notice and Jones played it safe.

Thiago will try to knock him out which will cause openings. He is in general a kill or be killed fighter. 5 of his 6 losses are by finish... lol

Chisea vs Diego fdngtd -105

Who's the biggest power threat Jones has faced?

With Santos you have the power threat and the speed which Smith says he was not expecting when he fought him, just how fast everything was coming

Damn! What makes you so comfortable in Naurdiev? Do you think his last performance might be a little flattering due to the sig age difference between the two, and one of the fighters really showing his age potentially?

I don't think Prazeres is on a decline if that's what you're getting at. I've been super impressed with Naurdiev, he's been making huge improvements fight to fight and I only expect more with him being 22. Was out there sweeping a 2nd degree black belt in his debut. Chance on the other hand is barely UFC calibre imo.

Looks like gadelha did her camp at nick catone mma an has been working with mark Henry.

Don’t think that’s enough to fix her horrid cardio though

It looks like a great bet, I was just curious what prompted such a strong/large play.

Do you think he can get it done within the distance here? His stoppage ratio is pretty damn high, with a nice mix of striking stoppages and subs. I wish I was on him last time out, he was a pretty big dog and I don't really remember many people being behind him for that one. He impressed me a lot for such a young fighter.

Wouldn't it be more profitable to play Chisea ITD? Gotta imagine it'll have a plus number next to it, and Chisea has shown what a dangerous sub artist he is time and again. Plus he's got underrated power in his very unorthodox punches... I see some kind of club and sub. Plus the fact that he liked dwarf Conduit last time out was startling... guys big. Really big.

I doubt it will be much better than -105

Think all the favorites on the main win. Although most uncertain about Rockhold. Think he gets it done but Jan can box.. and crack...

Anyone like any dogs?

Jan can box? AND punch?

Has anyone told Jan this yet? He doesn't appear to be aware of either.<45>

You really think Jones wouldn't have took the finish if he could get it? Why would he want to do that?
