Why did the UFC release John Lineker?

Should a guy like Luke Rockhold (who has lost 2 of his last 3 at 185) get a title shot after only one win at LHW? Especially against a guy that was just KO’d by Santos?

Will khabib ever move up to his natural weight of 170 and if so does he have any shot at beating Woodley Usman or colby

In Texas we have a saying "beating the horse to death" But... Pulsing Jones, we know he is fighting because of the money he brings to the sport... But is the UFC allowing Jones and Mcgregor with the problems that seem to follow setting a bad example for future fighters/kids that being the top stars you are allowed to basically do what you want with basically no consequences?

Can mayweda take that left hand in the octagon?

Being a “gym rat” for 15 years is quite an accomplishment. Have you actually seen any rats at the gym while you were lifting?

If you get cut on your hand and you roll in the gym what are the chances of getting staph?

Do you wash your gym clothes after every practice or do you let it ferment until its unbearable. Follow up question. Is there a best combat sport detergent?

Hey Ant, huge fan. As a “gym rat” what is your opinion on leg extensions and the leg press machine. They seem to work but leg extensions have almost single handedly been blamed for ruining Cain’s knees/career.

Thanks,

NBS

Do you think having Jones doing the July card or the international spectacle of Khabib in Abu Dhabi is anywhere near as hype as any of Conor's or Ronda's fights or even previous summers?

Do you think another superstar will bubble out, and if so, who?

Ant - being that Mousasi vs Lovato was for an actual MMA middleweight world title and not a bjj or grappling event, how did you score fight ? More importantly how did you score rounds 2 and 4 ?

One judge had it 47-47 and I thought that was more befitting and even that was giving Lovato some benefits of doubts.

When watching it while it was live, I even thought mousasi was in trouble after 5th.
After watching a few times, imo - I was wrong. On top, again this being mma and not polaris, what " offense" was the 4th degree black belt Lovato able to implement. No threatening subs and finally with 10 seconds left in fight , he rained down some innocuous hammer fists.
4th round going by damage, duration and dropping/flopping would predicate a 10-8.

An immediate re match should follow but with Mousasi still being the title holder ( accepting a draw).

Opinion?

You expressed concern over the fact that UFC is cutting FLW because of the fact that it would leave less belts to promote. But wouldn't that also open the door for 165? It makes all the sense in the world being that WW has always been stacked, and LW is pretty much overly stacked at this point (as guys like Tony Ferguson have to go on 12 fight winning streaks at the end of his prime just to get a title shot).

I know Dana has stressed that it won't happen anytime soon, but that probably means it will happen by the end of this year. Dana also said FLW's sticking around, and you see what he's doing with that division.

Hi Ant.

Do you feel Thiago Santos has a legitimate chance of beating Jon Jones this weekend?

If so, how?

What are the chances holms wins by decision?
I dont see Holms taking down or submitting Nunes, so had no choice but to scrap.

Which fighter do you think is Jones' worst matchup? Can be in any weight class.

Nah...

I asked him about Felicia Spencer months ago... Crickets. I asked what was important to me and what I saw coming. This man is no seer, obviously.

Best of luck but, no.

WEDNESDAY

Why Wednesday? There is no PFL on.

* What are your thoughts on Michael Bisping's cheeky commentary? We often get by-the-books microphone-men, but this Mancunian is a real scallywagger! I'm especially thinking of him blurting out stuff like "He's not as annoying as Dodson."

* Who has a better shot at beating Francis Ngannu. Stipe's feints and jabbery, or DC's wrestling and old-man wisdom?

* Last week, every discussion on the Francis vs JDS match-up mentioned Cigano's superior technical striking. But what we saw, was JDS throwing an overhand so overwrought and looping that it completely brought him out of positioned and offered Ngannu an effortless counter. Why did this happen? Is it truly just aura?

* Did you see the absolute bloodbath that was Dalby vs Houston? They were practically ice-skating on the canvas! What are your thoughts on the NC, especially in lieu of Dalby seemingly being near a stoppage? Is there a risk of Tony Fergusson watching this fight and concocting some crazy battle-schemes of his own?

Is UFC in fact dying?

Does this thread have more replies than the column has readers?

Not every question makes it to the broadcast. I have five single-spaced pages of questions we haven't gotten to from previous weeks. If the topic comes back around or it's evergreen, we can try to get it on a future show, but the show lasts an hour so including the poll and who you got segment, that gives us 7-9 questions each week. Ask Ant has three questions per week. Definitely no need to take it personal because one of your questions didn't come up one week.

"additional questions from this thread may be used in an upcoming episode"

The operative word is "may".

It’s all good. I asked different legit questions in different threads. None seemed to make the cut. I’m fine with that. But, if you’re not talking about what I actually care about... Why would I listen?

I wished you all the best of luck. No hard feelings...
