UFC 241 Cormier vs Miocic II

What site are you using that you can already make prop bets?

He’s not making prop bets he’s giving ML bets and telling you which round he thinks it will happen in (or by dec, etc)

As far as the fights, DC is basically undefeated against anyone except the GOAT. Stipe is gonna get beaten again. Can’t believe these odds. Costa is a nightmare for anyone. He gets hit but the dude is terrifying striker.

And I hate MMA math but if this was Conor v Pettis, who would you be betting? Diaz beat Conor twice.

Pettis could sit at kicking range and beat Conor down. His chins arguably better than Diaz's too, never been knocked down unlike Diaz who has been multiple times.

If Duke Roofus and the gang do not come in with a leg kick heavy game plan vs Diaz than you seriously have to fade every fighter coming out of there from now on. Conor did it and I don't rate Kavanah or SBG in general very highly at all. You know who else had success with that plan? Benson bloody Henderson. M'fer was jabbing Nate in the legs. Jabbing! Ha!

When Diaz get’s knocked down he get’s up and keeps throwing. When Pettis get’s into trouble he quits. Also I think Pettis could need knockdowns in two rounds to get a dec because of his low output and iffy defence.

Trying to figure out why I shouldn't bet the house on Yoel.

Criticized often for gassing, he has multiple round three KOs. He KOd Weidman and Luke; he went the distance twice with Whittaker.

He is very elusive and explosive. He can capitalize easily on his opponents open positions, meaning, attacking him is dangerous.

His athletic credentials far exceed Costa's. His experience far exceeds. Despite his age, he has shown little to think it's an issue.

The only issue is his weight cut, but he comes back from even the worst.

Has Costa fought anyone close to Yoel? His notable wins are a flakey Hall and a universally agreed washed up Hendricks. Literally all of his UFC wins are against fighters with a losing record in last 7 fights.

Meanwhile Luke was 6-1 coming in to his fight with Yoel, Chris had only 1 loss on his record at the time, Jacare was on an 8 fight winning streak.

The schedule of the two is not comparable. You add into all this Yoels two very close fights with the Champ, how can anyone argue Costa in on his level?

Often in these matchups of a rising star against an aging warrior, we get fantastic odds on the old man. Some go the way of Shogun Jones, but many others see the old man pull it off, easily and obviously.

The only legit concerns for Yoel I see are weight cut, mileage from the Whittaker fights, and if his age is finally becoming a factor, none of which are known.

But with what we do know, is this fight even competitive?

Benson also got 8 takedowns. The only thing a Diaz fears is a wrestler. It triggers their self victimization mode and they start whining.

Pettis has only 'quit' after long brutal fights vs pressure fighters like Poirier, Ferguson and Holloway and in 2 of those he got injured while the last he had the bad weight cut. Its not a good look but they are the total stylistic opposite of Conor who sits back and waits to counter has bad cardio and isn't high volume. 3 rounds Conor has a lot more of a chance but 5 rounds favours Pettis a lot more naturally. Anyway the original thing was about who people would bet and Pettis at +300< would be a great bet.

The first fight didn't last long but Stipe was clearly in control. He's bigger, faster and still in his prime which I don't think can be said about 40 year old Cormier.

I'd pretty confidently say Pettis is the better grappler. Both have a solid guard game but Pettis has caught notably higher level guys like Benson and Melendez compared to Diaz who got most of his sub wins years ago against easier competition. I think the wrestlings the big difference though, both have a tendency to accept bottom position but when he wants Pettis can actually go for takedowns and implement a serviceable top game which against Diaz who has some fairly awful TDD he can probably do if he wants to at points.

I also think Pettis is better at 170 too, he looked like he actually filled out a bit at the weight and looked good physically while Diaz never really had any reason to go up there before other than he was frankly a bit lazy and didn't want to cut weight which I think also showed in his performances. When he came in looking in great shape and clearly motivated at 155 vs Johnson he put on a great performance and the kind I think he'll need here to beat Pettis. If he turns up at the weigh ins looking ripped and not skinny fat then I'll be getting a little nervous.

Go on his Instagram. It will make you nervous. Dude is in top notch shape right now

This is also true. Pettis doesn't have the wrestling threat. However, i think he's got better striking than 2011s benson at this point. Nate hasn't evolved much, if at all. Nate is the rightful fav but not by much.

I saw the promo of him looking great, does seem very serious about this. Still he'll need a solid gameplan to back it up though so the first round is going to be very interesting, I think even with a good gameplan the first will be very close and then after that we'll see Diaz pace potentially get to Pettis. Will be more than ready to just livebet out and enjoy the show.

Nate actively rolls with Kron Gracie. They are legitimate butt buddies now. I would literally shit in my hand and post a picture of me eating it on Sherdog if Pettis manages to sub Nate.

Expectation in this thread - Pettis implements a solid game plan and beats Nate

Reality - Nate is going to put on a clinic and go viral with his post fight interview

Guys what do you think about moffett vs barzola?

I love uncle Yoel but Costa is younger and he trains with Captain America. Best thing here is to pass imo. This is still a young man‘s sport, no matter how great Yoel is. Even he will decline. In his 40‘s and had a war.

Rooting for Yoel though.

Taped 2 fights I suspected id like in klose/kang

Klose vs giagos

Klose has wrestling cred and seems decent defending tds/ getting up which will be critical here but he seems so average except for his low kicks / cardio lol

Giagos seems to be improving but he desperately needs a slow pace because he has 7 minutes of gas in the tank before he melts.

Klose should at least provide enough friction in order to take the last 2 rounds on pure durability / cardio

Kang is very well rounded and id say hes clearly better in every facet vs davis,
Davis looks legit holocaust mode at 135(i know it was short notice)

Im fine throwing heat on both at-200 or better
