UFC 241 Cormier vs Miocic II

Don't feel good about my Kenney bet anymore after this bullshit 140lb catchweight news. Probably wise to cancel it.

I just reopened my 5dimes account to put a bet on diaz. At +118 he matches up too well vs pettis to pass up.

Hannah Cifers or whatever her name is is the most awkward dude I've ever seen.

Fuck you bermudez move up a weight class if you can't make the weight. Kenney doesn't even get 20% of his purse.

Manny looking huge. Giagos and klose looked amped up. Will prob be a boring dec

Yea she looks pretty uncomfortable. Maybe she isn't a people person hopefully she looks better in the cage than on stage.

Emotionally invested brunson is bad brunson. Hopefully he goes full retard and gets koed fast. Confidence increase (?)

I got +135 for a little over 1.5u. We're seeing the fight very differently, can't agree with most of your Mazo analysis, though I do agree with a lot of the faults you point out in Dobson

Probably not as differently as you think, rhetoric aside. When I wrote my question, I was thinking something like "Dobson between +130 and +150 for a small amount would make sense. Anything below that doesn't." I wouldn't play Mazo at minus odds either, and there is a reason I'm only going 1u deep on her.

Damn, seems like everyone is on cormier.

Again, what good MMA wrestling has Stipe shown? Do you not think Cormier could outwrestle Hunt and Ngannou? Cause I highly doubt Stipe could hang with guys like Gustafsson, Jones etc.
.

He'd absolutely maul gus, and jones wants absolutely nothing to do with HW where his physical advantages would be nullified. DC also got out-wrestled by jones who is a LHW.

A minute and a half is what you are building the narrative around bud.. and you're speaking as if Cormier was in serious trouble..

Certainly not in any trouble, but the narrative of DC out wrestling stipe certainly wasn't on display.

I really wonder when the size thing will stop with DC. How many HW fights does he have now? He's obviously shown that it has not been an issue. We're also seeing a lot of people being successful moving up in weight. Stipe, a smaller HW, is really going to be the guy to highlight size being an issue? I'm not really seeing it.

DC fought at HW and went 13-0...... 6 years ago. He picked up and slammed barnett... 7 years ago. He's now 40 years old and he's almost certainly not slamming stipe.

The size thing is that stipe has a much larger frame and is naturally going to carry more muscle. DC is a HW because he has a high level of body fat.

Perhaps I'm picking up a read that's just not there, I dunno, but The impression I got was that DC struggled with the size and strength of stipe in their first fight and the narrative of DC out-wrestling stipe was false.

DC has a hand speed advantage and if he wins I think it will be because of that. I don't see him out wrestling stipe.

That's fair, we do have two very different bets with the odds we each got.

Totals out. I like Pettis/Diaz Over 2½ at -200. DC/Stipe total is set really high at 4½. You have to pay dearly for the under or get a nice payday on the over if you think it goes that far.

It seems like you're missing the huge skill difference between HW and LHW. Prime Gus would dance around Stipe and jab his face off the difference in boxing between the too is massive. Jones too would maul Stipe anywhere the fight goes, Stipes 1-2 spam and plodding is never gonna be enough to deal with someone with the striking arsenal and volume of Jones. Most LHWs probably don't even way more than 10 pounds less than an average HW but are far more athletic and skilled. Guys like JDS at HW are considered great boxers but if you compare his boxing to most 'boxers' in the weight classes below it ain't shit, P4P he makes girls like Jessica Eye look like Mayweather.

Man Stipe had came in looking really small, he must have worked his cardio hard. He's either looking to wrestle or he's expecting a lot of clinching/grinding from DC.

I think i'll parlay both

If this were true, why are they wasting their time fighting more skilled fighters? Why not move up and have everyone praise your balls for fighting bigger guys?

If the competition is easier and the rewards are potentially higher why not challenge stipe or ngannou? You'd get major props for calling out ngannou so why not......

I think we know why.

Anyone taking the mental fortitude and pure willpower of an Olympian into account? Especially someone who wrestled to that level?

That is a work ethic / mental toughness unmatched by 99% of the worlds population

Ex: Cejudo v Moraes round 1 vs how the fight ended

Olympic wrestlers are built different man. Never fade an Olympic wrestler
