I dunno if they have these types of things in America yet or if it's even legal there, but when I bought tickets to see Arctic Monkeys last year, they sold them through a system where you could only use the tickets if your last name was on them. If you couldn't go, then there was this website set up that you could sell your tickets through, but only for face value. I guess that was their way of discouraging scalpers.
I know some of our bigger sports leagues have authorised secondary markets you can get tickets from (NFL, NBA), but I don't know if they restrict people to only those tickets or if it's a way for people to guarantee authenticity.
