If Nate Beats Masvidal, Who Does He Fight Next?

If he takes all of Masdival's juice then he's waiting for a TS. But I took his he's ot fighting any suckers to mean he's done fighting wrestlers. If that is true that eliminates Usman or Colby even Khabib potentially.

I don't see how they wouldn't make Conor 3 if Conor wins.

Possibly Ferguson if he actually beats Khabib.

Good question.

COLBY the
After Colby gets rid of this Marty Snoozeman who puts fans to sleep he will call out the victor of the BMfer and beat them up just like his last 4 (snoozeman included.) opponents.

Nate won’t fight Colby, he wants guys who will stand and trade with him and produce exciting fights. Colby isn’t a draw so it’s not as if the money would be enough to tempt Nate and I think Colby easily wrestles him to a boring decision and Nate probably knows it too.

Imagine that shit: Nate Diaz vs Nick Diaz

I would pay

Colby boutta be a draw when he destroys Snoozeman in a non-boring ass way! You sleeping on Colby cuh.... Wake up!

If both Masvidal and Colby loses this is the next fight.

I don’t think he really cares tbh

Just trying to maximize his pay days and call it a career in a couple years

He's on a retirement tour but some people are saying he's scared to face wrestlers and top contenders. Lol. Nate's just being a prize fighter.

I don’t think he’s scared but he probably really prefers not too unless it’s a big fight

The Pettis fight really helped rebuild the Nate hype because it was a very favorable style / fight

Last thing he needs is to get outwrestled to a decision in a boring grinding fight

Wow-what a hater..... Fine, go watch yo boy Marty Snoozeman fight! At least I won't be sleeping while watching Colby fight.
The point isn’t whether Colby or Usman are better it’s that Colby simply isn’t a draw. They are both highly talented mixed martial artists but the majority of people think Colby and Usman are boring...Doesn’t mean everyone does especially people who have trained in MMA/wrestling/grappling but that isn’t enough to make you a star.

Conor 3, Tony for the belt.. those are big paydays.

Who'd have thought, that at this day and age, Nate Diaz could potentially be a top 5 WW. Just goes to show that this sport has evolved so much.
<[analyzed}>
How about that two guys, with a combined win percentage below .700, are fighting for a made up belt that will probably propel them into a real title shot.

If Nate wins (he won't) he should fight the Usman vs Covington winner (so Usman) and get wrestle fucked for 5 rounds while moaning and complaining about it.

WW title shot. Nothing else makes sense, and Nate would be an idiot to jeopardize that by fighting someone else

I don't quite understand Nate's parameters for the BMF shindig. From what he's said about Pettis and Masvidal - he wants guys who are UFC OGs who are still delivering big wins (Pettis with Wonderboy, Mas with Till and Askren), and who fall into the 145-170 range. So it could be quite a few guys from Cub to Maia. While excluding others like Lawler, Cowboy and Jeremy Stephens. Plus, he doesn't seem to have interest in ground guys and wants bigger names, so that excludes even more names.

He also said pre Pettis fight that Conor qualifies as a BMF... but he's no UFC OG, so I'm extremely confused. If Conor's an OG, then there's a whole new crop of post 2013 UFC fighters who could qualify... but he just shat on Khabib and Colby, for example.

So I have no clue what's going on in his head and who he could possibly call out after this. Even with Conor, Nate seems to realize that everyone's begging for that guy, so I doubt he'll call him out. But he's gotta call out somebody? He seems to live by Chael's philosophy that everything is a promo for the next thing, so I doubt he would skip on such a huge opportunity to build a new fight.

Are you really trying to rationalize the logic of a Diaz brother? Talk about an effort in futility! ;)

A lot better question is if he doesn't win, who he will fight next?
