Condit LITERALLY cannot keep his eyes on the prize anymore with his latest retina injury. Retire?

people are putting down condit? jesus how the mighty have fallen. there was a time were if you said anything bad that wasnt about the diaz fight you would get flamed.

condit was great at 170 and one of the only interm champs i felt could call themselves champion. sick ass highlight reel. awesome of the nights. look at how he performed in his losses. he fought tooth and nail every damn time. it wasnt until after the robbie fight was his decline and motivation gone. was 30-9 before his decline. even with the other losses you cant take away what he was at his best. shame on you sherdogs

So he was sparring Jon Jones I see.
 
"LITERALLY cannot keep his eyes on the prize" would mean actually putting his eye on the prize. Which he'd be more able to do with a detached retina.

Condit was not a strong wrestler, but he had good performances against GSP and Hendricks who were top WW wrestlers at the time. In fact the Hendricks decision was very close over Condit. Could have gone either way.

He also beat Lawler quite convincingly and should have won the UFC WW belt that night, but the judges robbed him and I don't think Condit has been the same since. Age and mental perspective have left Condit far short of the high levels achieved during his prime fighting years.

Retire....He's sad to watch. I used to love to watch him fight but now it's really bad. Maia and Chiesa come to mind. Not just the losses but the way he lost. Not the same guy anymore.

Fighters get old.

Condit has too many miles and the 5 round war with Robbie was his last stand. In my humble opinion, he won that fight, and was the uncrowned King.

There is no going back though. Condit needs to move on to the next phase of his life, its a bummer he decided to come out of retirement.

When he ran from Diaz... I didnt care to watch him anymore.
 
These guys can't retire because their paychecks are laughable. Shame.
