Who Has The Best Chance Of Beating Nunes That She Hasn't Fought?

If Francisco & Luis Grasso actually can come up with effective strategy then that could be
enough for Amanda Nunes to have problems with Irene Aldana since her striking is very
good and often on point do to her boxing based offense that has given other girls problems
in the past.

Pena look bad last fight even if she did win but since there is not a lot of competition at 135 right now another win might get her the title show.

Ladd is still very hitable on the feet her chin is not the best I don't see her beating Nunes.

Idk and dont care about WMMA but i want whichever one is the straight one to beat her

Ladd is still young and imrpoving with each fight, shes going to be champ at some point

Best chance? Felicia Spencer at 145. She has great ground skills and was able to eat Cyborg’s best shots. She certainly wouldn’t be the favorite but I see her submitting Nunes if they hit the ground

Also there is Kayla Harrison, if she ever decides to come to the UFC. Her grappling is too much even for Nunes

I don't think there's any current living woman that she hasn't faced yet that really stands much of a chance.

I do think Cyborg, and to a lesser extent Shevchenko, could potentially beat her under the right circumstances. Its a shame we probably won't get that Cyborg rematch.

.
I don't think Pena looked bad. She was coming off a 2 year lay off after having a baby and she took the fight on 2 weeks notice. Also, she clearly didn't have the physique she had in her previous fights; she looked a lot smaller. That's why Nicco was able to outmuscle her in the clinch.

Her striking has improved tremendously and she was even able to outstrike Nicco on the feet and turn her into a panic wrestler. No one expected that because Pena has always been criticized for having bad striking, but she's clearly been working on it.

I know she's coming off a long lay off and had a baby some female athlete never fully recover from that. Her striking did improve but if she thinks thats enough to stand with Nunes she's in for long night. She looked slower, not explosive, not aggressive not like she use to be, Just me personally I like to see her in another fight to prove she's still have all those physical capabilities before the lay off.

Seriously? Nunes looked pretty beatable in that GDR fight. Not saying she wouldn't be the favorite against any current contender, but I wouldn't be shocked if she got taken out this year.
She was getting beaten on the feet. If GDR could have kept it standing she would have won. A technical striker with good wrestling defence will beat her.

A healthy Tatiana Suarez.

Yeah, I think a 135 version of Suarez would be the one to beat Nunes, but I don't think such a thing exists and I'm not sure how effective Tatiana's wrestling would be against someone who's naturally as much bigger than her as Nunes is.

I do think she'll ultimately beat Val at 125, though.

Damn I was reading another thread about Suarez being most likely to beat Val. Thanks for being cool about it. :)

I really do not get Tatiana Suarez mentions.

I haven't been impressed whatsoever.

I actually think she looked way faster on the feet than she used too, but you're right about her not being as explosive. I think that could be a good thing though because she's more technical nowadays. Also, we saw from the Cyborg Vs Nunes fight that fighting Nunes recklessly won't end well. Especially not in the first round.

Pena is fighting Aspen Ladd in March, so hopefully we'll get to see how good she really is now because she has a full training camp for this fight.

Depends who can survive Nunes going all out in round 1 and has a semblance of a ground game.

None of the gals you posted.

GDR rematch needs to happen - hopefully GDR is drilling the shit outta takedown defence and getting up from the bottom.

After that initial bum rush in the first nunes turned panic wrestler to avoid having to stand with GDR. Nunes is a glorified brawler who hits hard enough, is fast and is able goad her opponents in to brawls in which she is the faster fighter (even if power is roughly the same like in the cris fight) and is able to get her shots in first.

You saw how Val was able to negate her but she just did not have the punching power to threaten her. Then we have GDR who survived that bum rush and did not play in the game of brawl with me who then showed her better stand up skill set coupled with enough punching power to not only get respect but threaten and turn nunes in to a cub.

Also, Irene Aldana is a fooking beast and so is Alexa. I would be concerned bout Nunes if she had to fight 'er. AND HYPED. Very fan friendly fisticuffz.
