All a title does is confirm that said fighter is the best of their division. Since we really don't believe that Jones is better than Reyes its meaningless
Checked fight finder...
It says that he won his last two.
Interesting.
That’s odd when I check Wikipedia it shows Jon Jones has a 17 fight winning streak.
This is where the problem lies. You guys are looking at what happened on Fight Finder and Wikipedia, while TS is looking at what happened in the cage. They're different subjects.
They clearly don't care about what happens in the fights either.UFC judges don't care about your feelings
You can’t erase a decision with laughter, son. Appeal to the commissionYeah, and GSP won against Hendricks. lmao
Thats cute. Forget documented accounts of a fight. Forget that Reyes gave up after the third round. Forget that he could not stop Jon Jones from advancing. Forget than Jon Jones is the winningest champion in UFC history. This is where the problem lies. True nerds account suicide when their hero gets ktfoOnly nerds use fight finder
Just because a fight was close doesn't mean he lost. I wanted Reyes to win but honestly can't deny the fact that Reyes didn't exactly PUT HIM AWAY.
I want to see someone KO Jones or Submit him. If not, then I wouldn't consider him actually being beat. Just like when Jones decisioned DC, it was meh. But after the rematch and he KO'd him is what made it definitive.
Jones vs Santos was closer than this one. Jones did more damage and won rounds 2, 4 and 5 vs Reyes. Also constant forward pressure from Jones, made Reyes miss a LOT + the challenger has to put in some extra effort to really validate him becoming champ, imo. It's not a scoring criteria but it's an unspoken rule and you all know it.
So Jones didn't beat Santos or Reyes in his last fights, right?
Don't forget anything. Like I said, TS is speaking to what happened in the cage. The stuff you mention now pertains to that. Reyes wasn't able to stop Jones advancing in the cage. I disagree that Reyes gave up at any point though. He landed a barrage early in round 4, and got tired after that, but was still always in the fight. Regarding "winningest fighter in UFC history", you're back to talking about FightFinder and Wikipedia again. To purists, events within fights are more important than titles, rankings, and records.Thats cute. Forget documented accounts of a fight. Forget that Reyes gave up after the third round. Jon will be remembered as the winner tonight. Reyes the loser.
When people watch the footage again they’ll see Reyes’ barrages struck mostly air, gloves, and arms. This is exciting to the crowd. More so than Jones’ calm and controlled approach to every fight. They will see that Jones kicks to the head, body, and legs had a profound effect on the strength, stamina, and speed of Reyes. They will see that the perceived Achilles heel of Jones, boxing, matched that of a very slick and deceptively fast Reyes. They will see a more complete fighter work in the clinch and successfully take down his opponent.Don't forget anything. Like I said, TS is speaking to what happened in the cage. I'm an optimist and believe that society is getting better. Thus, if Reyes deserved to win the fight, then we'll get our act together and view him as the winner. The footage is there for everyone to see. Reality above the narrative.

I mean, it's fair all things considering. I judge my own fights, I have no respect for their opinions. Reyes beat Jon Jones
Jones is a paper champ. Wins, titles, all that is noise imo. We all know what happened last night
Paper Champ.
Jones hasnt been impressive since he beat Machida many many years ago.
Not everybody is as dependant on commissions telling them what to think as you are. Not everybody cares about how incompetent (or corrupt) people judge a fight. It's called using your own brain and it's an interesting alternative to your drooling subservience. You should really try it sometime, troglodyte.
