Where does Conor rank on all time goat lists?

he’s the first UFC double champion and took out Aldo, Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier. Yes he lacks title defenses (which is an issue) but he makes up for it with his run at FW and his overall resume.
No he doesn't.

He has 5 top 10 wins in his career and is not the first fighter too win too UFC belts. The "Champ Champ" thing is bullshit since the UFC just let him hang onto the FW belt he never defended just long enough to become "Champ Champ" against a guy nobody even considered the best LW at the time and never should have gotten the shot too begin with.

His "FW run" was him beating a Max ranked 15th coming off a loss at the time, (he gets credit for beating Max years before Max was Max) a few other guy's outside the top 10 and then got a TS after beating 6th ranked Porier, (another guy he gets praised for beating for what he became years later who is not the same fighter he fought).

Yeah, Mendez happened before Aldo giving him his first top 5 win and yeah, he beat Aldo in a fight both guys landed 1 punch at the exact same time in but not giving Aldo the rematch and immediately getting a LW title shot was ridiculous.

He never proved he was the best FW and his "FW run" is drastically over rated.

He is not any where near the GOAT list since he never actually had to beat top ranked contenders too get Hus title shots.

Sure, credit where credits due for winning them but anyone can win a belt on any given night, a real Champ/ all time great proves themselves by routinely beating top competition and defending their place atop a division. He never did this.

Tony would probably absolutely agree to Conor, but Conor does "need" to fight Gaethje..to put it in other words, if he is still looking at Khabib he should have fought Justin.
It's just a show dude, they are just negotiating.

I'm being objective in saying that Conor doesn't need to fight Justin.

Justin has losses to people that Conor absolutely destroyed. Not beat, DESTROYED.

He's not on some impressive win streak, he isn't unbeatable, isn't ranked higher, isn't famous.

Conor's MMA fights are Khabib for the title, Nate for the story, Tony for being impressive as fuck, Masvidal for being the shit right now, and whoever the WW champ is in a year.

Ask yourself this:

Why aren't the Arabs paying 100mil for Khabib to face Gaethje? Cause Gaethje is just not that dude.

I'm not a Conor fan but that's not why I don't wanna see that fight again, or at least not yet. Some will agree Conor shouldn't get Khabib yet. just wait til April plays out. Khabib if he stays to his word won't fight Conor. I'll eat crow if he does..it will be Dana and the UFC pushing it though.

Not in the top 15. He deserves respect for what he has achieved but I don't think he belongs the discussion.

You can argue him as the FW GOAT if you really wanted to. Beating Dustin, Mendes, and Aldo in the way he did was extremely impressive (beating Max at that point in his career was not impressive to me, he hadn't come into his own yet). Lack of title defenses hurts him immensely tho.

Could be, we'll have to wait and see. Khabib might lose to Tony. Who knows.

Fair enough

I kinda want to see Tony/Conor. I like Tony over Khabib, well more of a fan of his, but weird I'm pulling for the Eagle. LW has some good fights though.

Other than the top 4 which is in no order (Jon Jones, Silva, Fedor and GSP.) the MMA GOAT lists are kinda unclear. You have Khabib and Mighty Mouse up there but you don’t have much depth.

Is Conor a top 10 fighter of all time?
jones is not top ten or top 100 due to juicing.
andy loses some legacy as well.
probably top ten.

he hasnt defended but won two belts. He moved up a division after cleaning out one. khabib and others wont move up as they would get ragdolled. that counts.

You’re just ignoring the facts.

1. When Conor fought Max, Max already had 5 UFC fight experience and went on his amazing streak to the title after the Conor fight. Conor outclassed him in every aspect of the game and would school him today as well. People were saying that Max would starch DP in their rematch, because he’s a different fighter now. Look how well it went for him. And by the way DP is another one who Conor absolutely destroyed.

2. DP would 100% get a shot for a title if he would have beaten Conor at FW. He was on impressive 3 fight win streak.

3. Denis Siver was ranked #10

4. Mendes was an excellent win

5. Conor predicted he would KO with the exact shot he said he would and was seen practicing it in the locker room before the fight. He also KO another dude before that with the same exact sequence. 100% a fluke

6. Nate Diaz was ranked #8 and is former title challenger. Conor fought him going up two weight classes. Imagine Khabib vs Till at 185?

7. Win over Eddie was probably an all time top 3 performances by a title challenger

8. Cowboy was ranked #5 when Conor whooped his ass

So that’s 8 top 10 wins not 5. Conor has a solid case for being an all time top 10, being the double champ, undefeated at FW, KO wins in 3 weight classes, 22-4 in MMA, 10-2 UFC, 3-1 UFC title fights, no failed drug tests

Big Nog? Really? What has he done to be a top 10? Conor has way more impressive resume than Nog’s

You can't be serious. Nog could have gone down as the GOAT if Fedor wasn't around. RINGS champ, PRIDE champ, UFC champ. Beat just about great HW of his era, when HW was the premier division. Nog is right behind the big 4 Fedor, Silva, Jones and GSP. Conor isn't even a top 10 ATG.

I was rooting for Khabib till he became champ, now I'm pulling for Tony.

I think I'm usually rooting for the most entertaining path rather than the favorite fighter.

Khabib winning does nothing for me, while Tony winning would open some nice matchups in the future.

I haven't been a real fan of any fighter since Fedor and Shogun to be honest, just don't care that much anymore. Which is liberating :)

Well we has Pride champ for a very short moment, but really he was only 2nd best behind Fedor. And he was only interim champ at UFC and went 5-6 at UFC. I could consider him top 5 at HW, but definitely not top 10 goat

You arent allowed to lose to nate diaz and then win a questionable decision and be considered one of the greats.

My dream match up, I jus' realized, is Conor VS TJ, how has it not been talked, and big, yet
?
TJ is possibly one of the men McConor is behind on The Great List...Normally I'd be tempted to comment how Dillashaw is even lesser manlet to Conor and therefore 'c'mon buh', but I saw how some of you put Mighty Mouse (btw, shittiest MMA alias ever) before Conor fuckin McGregor on the same list like on the first thread page!
Both are Mount Rushmore of skill insanity togezer with the man Tony and, like, Anderson Silva...n Big Diaz

Not a Conor fan but that reasoning sucks. So you're allowed to lose to Chonan and Takase and be considered one of the greats? You're allowed to lose to Serra? Bader? I mean losing to anyone doesn't eliminate you from GOAT contention. That is stupid.

below any champ who has had at least one title defense. and that list is loooooooooooooooong
