UFC on ESPN+ 27 Benavidez vs Figueiredo

Didn't Brady have USADA issues at some point?
Apparently not if the love child of Chris Weidman and Sergio Pettis is to be believed.

You could be thinking Grant Dawson, he was bumped off a card recently with USADA questions.

A dude with mental problems, fighting one every two years, against a very hungry, active fighter, who won't give up easy? Not, thanks.

Yea his mental state is a question mark. However, even with those issues he has always performed pretty well when he does fight. His only loss being a split decision. He isnt like Uriah Hall who used to just freeze in there.

They way I see it those mental problems are already priced in at -130.

If Breese survives the early onslaught from Allen I think he wins this.

Hell I've always thought several guys have panicked in the face of the Conor circus who do fine under normal pressure.
Many of Conor's opponents crumbled before they entered the cage. Same with many of Mike Tyson's opponents.

Yeah. Even guys who've main evented and had title fights, but I guess the level of media attention as a Conor opponent is way, way greater than the attention paid to even a guy like Alvarez before that fight.

My Quick Picks:
  • Spivak -120 is younger, hungrier, and can wrestle/strike better than shopworn Tybura. Seen him training with Nemkov brothers and Valentin Moldovsky.
  • Breese -135 but will wait til weigh ins/interviews to make sure he ain’t having anxiety issues. Talented southpaw with BJJ black belt against a hittable but very hungry/active/well rounded Allen.
  • Expecting Dawson and Spencer to finish but got both ITD lines lower. Current ITD is a bit expensive.
  • Gonna go with Joe B but small/medium lean. Expecting the lines to tighten up closer to fight day so I think he’ll settle at -120/+100.
  • Going with Kyler Phillips but both guys are a bit unknown. I like Phillips athleticism and has many tools. Reminds me of O’Malley a bit but he’s got some decent grappling chops too.
  • Leaning on Griffin cuz UFC exp. and Brown’s last loss was to a 13-18 guy is suspect.
  • Picking Ankalaev to win but the value is on Ion at +180. Fun fight.

Those are my thoughts as of now. There’s still some capping to do. I’ve dropped a good chunk on Dawson ITD -140 early on.

Don't you think Silva getting the better of Borg in first round and half of the second says his grappling and wrestling is probably very good? His gas tank is terrible but I don't think Silva struggles with the wrestling early and his BJJ is at a high level. Kyler also slows down after a round too

Yeah Kyler has the same issues as Lando in that he gasses out throwing wild and hard.

Both of them prefer to strike but have grappling in their bags.

Mr Rebelion, what do You think about Tj Brown?

Dunno man, he looked good on tape. Looks very dangerous and offensive minded but his losses are very suspect.

He has a TKO loss to a guy who is 13-18 and got finished 2 other times by guys that are currently 5-11 or some other ugly record.

Seems to be an inconsistent fighter and defensively lapses. I wouldn’t feel safe betting on either guy.

It’s amazing what a waste of time it is to listen to other people’s perspectives on mma betting. It is seriously the biggest disservice to yourself to consult with other people or listen to their “picks.” If you don’t understand the stock you are investing in, don’t buy it...I’m outta here!

Its good to get other peoples opinions on fights you don't have strong leans on. Don't have to religiously follow it, but 2 brains are better than one.

I’m thinking of either flying out to Brasília for Lee vs do Bronx or watching UFC 250 here in SP. Thoughts?

Of course dont blindly follow other peoples picks. However, talking over fights and getting a different perspective is very helpful. Just make sure the guys you listen to know what they are talking about.

I listen very closely to some resident sharps here

Finally pulled the trigger. I think it'll be a good card.

Other people are going to have perspectives you dont.

I think so too. If you can get Norma's autograph for me I'll send you a bottle of Jack Daniels single barrel proof, and a selection from the local distilleries.

Spencer wins in rd.1 @+125 is this a trap? Because this is the only way this fight ends IMO.

I went for the cheap seats so I probably won't get a chance but I'll keep an eye out, I'll at least try to snap a few pictures.
Appreciate the heads up I'll probably stab something on her points handicap
