Rate the Fight: Eye vs Calvillo

Solid fight. Calvillo's performance was impressive. Her grappling is always fun to watch. She's very opportunistic. So even though Eye was clearly physically stronger, she would still transition to the back quickly and threaten.

Both girls threw shots and it was kind of like a sparring type match but the integration of the grappling in there and Cynthia's overall gameness made for an entertaining matchup.

Couldnt watch anymore after 2 rounds. So embarrassing for the sport with a main event like that. Imagine all the people that watched for the first time because of the corona bullshit and this is the main event lol.

Ran out of likes but completely agree with @Ares Black - a lot of people made up their minds before the match even played out. We've seen way worse WMMA fights and way worse men's MMA fights. This clearly wasn't even the worst main event (in how it played out) of 2020 let alone an all-time bad. Fun fight. Not one of the best. Certainly not a classic like Joanna/Weili but an entertaining fight.

Im happy people like different things. But i watch high level striking daily and its insane to me that any pro fighter with more than a couple fights can look like that striking. I had a friend come with me to thailand that never striked in his life. Trained for 2 months and took a fight against a decent russian and actually dropped him. used decent technique and looked better than most wmma fighters in the ufc. just weird to

You don’t even need to make it about WMMA. The first fight Ivy went to block the hook on the completely wrong side. Just like any event, there were moments, up and down. If any male moved up in weight and got a decision over a #1 contender people would be stoked

Calvillo pushes the pace the entire fight, u can tell Jessica was gassed after all the ground work she had nothing left in the 4th and 5th. CC had a good showing tonight

Fucking awful.

Love seeing Valentina, Nunes, Holly even Ronda for her lack of striking was immensely exciting.

This fight just now was dogshit and a blemish on WMMA, it’s no wonder people hate on it.

Calvillo looked clueless with how to mix up striking on a downed opponent til the 5th round. Sad that there's a division of fighters built around Shevchenko's inability to finish Amanda Nunes.
