News Update: Mike Perry auctioning ‘corner’ seats (2 Sold. Camsoda, Kendra Lust, and NFL interested)

It's a great idea for sure

only thing I'm thinking tho is if it becomes a popular trend those auctioned spots are going to have a wide range of demand and pricing depending on who you are

Let's not forget this plan would likely only work for the upper echelon performers and Perry might be at the very bottom of that bell shaped curve In other words suck this dry for what it's worth bc it may never be as valuable as it is right now for Perry. Others will follow suit probably and demand will ebb and flow A guy like Conor would get cherry offers for a long ass time but he's not even fighting so...

Ticket scalpers will not be happy with this.

Ingenious.
I wonder if Dana's OK with this. Seems pretty antithetical to the "integrity" of the sport. teehee
Not sure how much depends on the UFC here, the fighters are probably paid for 1-2 cornermen, AC license them to do the job, the fighter is free to have whoever they want there, a proper corner might be in their best interest, but they can have his buddies or extrangers for money if they want to, just have the AC license them.

Doesn't the Commission have requirements for licensing them?

I agree gameplanning is important but that's done before the fight, but the corners don't often do much. when is the last time a cornerman gave meaningful advise that wasn't common sense that most fans know?
It was common sense but whittman calmed gaethje down in the Ferguson fight. If he kept throwing like that he would have lost bad imo
