I guess they weren't fucking around when they purged their roster. Damn shame, they could've finally booked that superfight with Rampage vs Meathead, or the grudge match with Darrill Schoonover.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – Bellator is moving on from free agent Quinton Jackson.

Wednesday, Bellator president Scott Coker told MMA Junkie the company is moving in a “different direction” and that Jackson (38-14) is free to sign with any other promotion that interests him.

“‘Rampage’ Jackson, he’s another legend,” Coker said after the Bellator 253 ceremonial weigh-ins at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. “When he fought his fight in Toyko, that was his last fight with Bellator. We haven’t even talked to him or engaged in any kind of conversations. He’s a complete free agent to sign wherever he wants to. … If you look at the direction the company is headed, it’s heading in a different direction.”

Jackson, 42, has not competed since a TKO loss to Fedor Emelianenko at Bellator 237 in December 2019. “Rampage,” a storied UFC and PRIDE champion, had two stints in Bellator.

He has a big purse and is in no way competitive or even exciting to watch these days.

Makes sense, sensible direction from Bellator.

Coker probably talking through gritted teeth while old his old legend signings like Rampage, Nelson and Mir get canned by whoever is pulling the strings now.
LMAO yes, bit whoever is pulling the strings now has more sense than Coker.

I remember rampages coaches lying and telling him he was fighting king Mo at 235 to try and keep his weight in check. Rampage found out it was heavyweight live on a call between him and king mo
LMAO when your coaches need to lie to you so you dont eat another cheeseburger you know you've got a problem.

Considering how unfir he looked last time not surprised, would like to see him do one more fight tho

Why do people like watching old out shape fighters fight? Do you just want these guys to be total vegetables?

That dazn money drying up. Bellator looks like it's getting out of the expensive fighter game.

If they aren’t retiring, Rampage vs Silva at 205 sounds dope.

Hey @DoctorTaco how does Tyree look for his upcoming, btw?
hes looking fantastic. His weight is where we want it, he’s in the gym Every day lifting and training and we’ve got a good game plan cooked up for this one. There’s a few things to avoid but if we can swing that I think he gets it done
