How do you deal with scam telemarketing calls and robot voice

I once got a phone call from a bank I don't have an acct with. A decent female voice. Blah, blah, blah, there's suspicious activity in your acct...

I flat out asked: "Will you give me a blowjob?"

She hung up.

I don’t get those. If an unknown number calls they they have to punch in a randomly generated number to get through to me.

What if it's a legit call? Where do they get the randomly generated number?
