UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Lewis

The confidence in Casey O'Neil over Shana Dobson is astounding.

^ read that article before placing her in your parlays or betting on her thinking its a no brainer.

I was already leaning Dobson by TKO, but knowing O'Neil spent 3 years training at TMT under the same team responsible for Khalil Rountree Jr and Dan Hookers performances at UFC 257 makes the decision easier.

Still on O'Neil sub. Not my biggest, nor most confident play though.

Yeah bums like Movsar Evloev, Fiziev and Petr Yan train there

Valentina and Volkanovski also did some camps there

Total bum gym imo

I think Tiger Muay Thai is a decent gym. Peter Yan, Shevchenko, Evloev, Fiziez, plenty of high level talent in and out of the gym. Rountree was a flake before he knew what a thai plum was. That and Hooker is always hittable and spends alot of time with City Kickboxing gym anyway.

Probably not relevant anyway, the article said she had recently switched to Extreme Couture. Now that's a gym I don't mind fading. Her striking looked pretty bad in the clip too. Either way hard to justify juice on low level wmma, Dobson is probably the value side.

Movsar Evloev was cornered by ATT coaches at UFC 257 and its interesting he chose to have them over TMT given all the time he has spent in Thailand.

Fiziev is the striking coach for TMT so it would be odd if his colleagues were not in his corner.

I believe Volk is a NZ City Kickboxing guy?

Valentina has her own head coach, I guess she does her training camps at TMT.

Also, I never said it was a bum gym, far from it, but some coaches always seem to be in the corner of losing fighters and it something to monitor if you want to give yourself the best chance at placing the right wager.

i am more confident in casey after reading that article, she is not underestimating dobson, and its clear she wants to take her down.

Im not sure about the EC connection, it may just be she did her camp at an EC facility under the same coaches.

Either way the point of the post was to provide some additional context as the instinct it appears for many is O'Neil is a sure thing because she is 5-0 but when you read that article and learn her father runs the promotion it makes those wins hold a different significance in evaluating her.

O'Neil could score a first round KO today and fight Valentina for the title before the end of the year, I was by no means saying she is a total flake with no talent, I just was surprised at how she looked in those fights given she is now in the UFC. We will see.

Looks like she has been working with Extreme Couture's striking coach Eddie Barraco. Honestly I think the switch might be worse for her but I've never thought highly of EC as a team.

I agree her record is questionable.
I'm definitely not paying juice here. Not to derail the post just curious what about TMT is a red flag? I've always thought they were a decent team, they had a fighter win the LFA comain just last night.

she is not a proven enough fighter , she is undersized and standup is very green, don't do it.

ANyone else have doubt about Chavez? He leaves his chin too overexposed. might avoid that fight all together.

Can you honestly watch this video and tell me her striking is half decent?

Compare to this

At 1:10 she throws a nice rear head kick

Looking at Charles Rosa ITD at +120. I favor him over Minner and I doubt this makes it to decision. The plus money seems like solid value.
I like it...parlayed with Aljo. Also have Spivak and Blaydes in a faves parlay with Osaka, Gane and Ankalaev. Also went small on Oleinik by sub at +250

Both those videos show super sloppy striking difference being the first one was Oneils first pro fight

Ha I just got done rewatching that fight, Dobson never should have been that big a dog. Anyway I'm definitely not defending O'Neil here at all, dog or pass all day to me.

As far as Chavez goes I'm not worried about his chin. His cardio though could be a problem against the bigger more experienced grappler. Gordon coming in overweight scared me off Chavez.

I think dodson has a lot of holes too but she has far more moves on the feet , i recorded something over 15 plus kicks , her lead high kick is as fast as some fighters left hook.

I think she is going to maul casey and get a ko finish in rnd 1

I know he has bjj black and has competed in grappling tournaments, I just hope his opponent isn't a gold glove level boxer, because he doesn't block his face too much, he reminds my of Erosa, Drakkos and Wineman.

Looks like Klose vs Pena is off.

So I did a 5 man FanDuel parlay, where they pay you back if it misses, and this being cancelled turned it into 4 legs.

I guess they aren't paying me back now? Lol

Think O’Neil is a fraud. She has a PTV but Dobson +150ish is the right side imo. Gl tonight.
