150-0 in Arizona Interscholastic Association.
Won the Colorado High School Activities Association championship twice.
Won the Fargo National title in freestyle while still in High School, it's a college title.

They are no nothing associations but you can look at it like Khabibs record before UFC.

Won the US National Championship at 55 kilograms, qualifying for the US World Team Trials, first high schooler to do so.

US National Championships 2 times, silver once.

Double MMA UFC champion @ 125lb and 135lb

Khabib can't even move up in weight though he fought WW outside UFC. He knows why.

I mean yeah, he would be a horrible matchup for Khabib if he was the same size. I would bet on him.

At the same time, I don't think this should be in UFC discussion, it should be in the LW's. Fictional matchups belong there.

Justin was an all American wrestler
Conor has 0 wrestling background
yet he did much better in the grappling while Justin couldn't survive 12 seconds

we have seen Henry on the ground in mma he's nothing special at all

CHAMPIONSHIP IN TWO WEIGHT-CLASSES
when in reality he won a split decision over DJ where many believed he lost that fight and a win over a contender at 135lb to win a vacant title

Same size Henry?? Wasteland plz

isn't that what P4P means?

Personally I always thought it was who showed success in the most weight divisions but I've been told that was wrong

You’re wrong. Cejudo is overrated as hell. Here’s his legendary win streak. Very close and controversial win over DJ, win over weight drained TJ which was a early stoppage, beat Moraes which was good at the time but aged atrociously and win over old washed cruz. He ain’t that special. Not to mention his best “win” DJ just got slept by a dude with a total of 4 KO’s in his career

You are a foreigner. You wanna know how I know? Because you think Justins wrestling was great because he was all American. There are levels to all American.
Justin wrestled at University of Western Colorado. That is a no nothing college for wrestling. Freshman year he went 18-9.
He went 0-2 in his NCAA div. 1 career 2009. In 2010 for NCAA div. 1 he went 5-2 to earn 7th place and all American status.
In 2011 he went 1-2 NCAA and finished 17-8 for the season.

So tired of non Americans talking about US wrestling levels.

You are right buddy. Sorry can't tell you that you are wrong.

DJ and TJ were both top of the p4p rankings. You'd expect close fights.
You can discredit anyone's wins.

Look at Khabibs.

  • Gaethje - has seemingly no knowledge of BJJ, looked like a fish out of water on the mat, I'm expecting the other top guys to exploit this
  • McGregor - had years worth of ring rust and was drunk on whisky at the press conference
  • Dustin - great win
  • Raging Al - #11 ranked, taking a five rounder on short notice, only win in previous three years was over Diego
  • Michael Johnson - can, should be cut. 3w-9l in his last 12, lost 2 of 3 going into the Khabib fight.
  • Barboza - a .500 fighter who loses to every pressure grappler he fights
  • Horcher - can at a catch-weight
Etc

Khabib can't even move up in weight though he fought WW outside UFC. He knows why.
Three words: pace and pressure

These "same size" arguments are always moronic, because if you change the size of the fighter you're changing everything else about him, and your perception of any fighter is based on their current size.

Simply put, the Cejudo your accustomed to seeing would not be the same as a Cejudo who happened to be 155. There's a difference in speed, reflexes, so the fight style must change as well.

To think you're going to keep all the benefits of being a smaller size and receive none of the detriments of being much larger is just foolish.

No idea, P4P discussions don't make much sense.

We don't know how fighters would change if they were heavier/lighter faster/slower etc.
