1. This is not MMA, there's no punchers chance, once you go down (big IF), you have time to get up.
2. They can clinch. Askren can hug him for 2 rounds, not throw a single strike and he can casually gas him out.
3. Askren has been hit by real fighters the likes of Lawler with MMA gloves. It took Masvidal running half the length of the octagon followed by a flying knee to KO him. And that's fucking Masvidal, not some youtube dipshit.
4. Have ya'll actually seen Jake Paul's boxing training? He can't box for shit.

people keep confusing jake paul. they are super rich and pampered. they bring all the best training and sparring partners to them. they set it up in their favor. these guys are not normal boxers. they are training like wealthy champions but definitely from the pampered and spoiled perspective. so i don't think they have developed the ideal mind set but i dont think they need it.

imagine it this way- guy trains bjj every day. lives like a champion. all the money in the world for private sessions with the best and access to the best training partners you can find. when this person hits the three year mark if they were athletic to begin with they are going to be dangerous and a problem for anyone. also lets not pretend like jake wouldn't use ped's i dont think he'd abuse them but these guys are rich enough to be in the know.

even though jakes not a proven fighter 100% there is a reason why hes confident and it has to do with all this. if he deserves to be confident or not that doesn't matter. you can get far off delusional belief and enough people fueling it around you all the time.

jake is not a boxer. hes calling out grapplers not low level boxers. dude is a bitch and a bully. every fan needs to see this fight for what is is. ben is a grappling and mma legend. to disrespect a guy like that has no place in this sport. even if ben could strike this call out is still a massive bitch move.

Askren's boxing is going to look bad no matter what. A few months of boxing training won't fix that.

The reason people think he could easily win is because Jake Paul isn't really a pro fighter.

It'd then also prove, how overrated striking in the context of an actual fight can be, since Askren still was extremely successful in MMA - despite not having good striking by any means.
