If anything this makes me think Askren is gonna get beat. This dude is obviously taking it seriously.

...then only gave him $150 because he lost.

Markus Perez said...
“To tell you the truth I had no idea who he was, but when someone related to him offered me $300 (to train with him), I decided to accept. When I arrived at his house with my friend Alexandre Pantoja, I politely went to greet everyone,” Perez said. “But when I went to shake hands, he gave me a closed fist. Then I looked at Pantoja and asked, ‘That was the guy I came to help?’”

Once Perez and Paul hit the ring to spar, intensity quickly reached levels beyond what is normal for that type of session.

“He started the sparring going hard, and I hit him with a jab in the end of the first round and his nose started to bleed. From that point on we started to fight,” Perez said. “I called for him to beat me up and he was afraid, just circling and staying out of my range. Of course, he is able to box and has a good cross, but he is clearly not a fighter -- just an adventurous (type).”

Based on that experience, Perez sees Askren, a former Bellator and One Championship title holder, as a clear favorite in the matchup.

"Askren is a real fighter,” Perez said. “He will close the distance and beat him up around the body and liver, just like I did. A fight is always a fight, anything can happen, but I believe he will knock Paul out around the second or third round.”

The Brazilian, who remains without a promotional home, said he didn’t receive the full $300 for the session that was initially promised by Paul’s team.

“They just gave me $150,” he said. “But in that regard, I have to support their attitude. I also wouldn’t pay $300 for someone who kicked my ass, the way I did with him.”

Hes right about what he said about Jake. Ben can beat him by closing the distance and punishing the body. He also has a huge advantage in the clinch.

Ben is going to manhandle Jake and beat him in close range, been saying it for months. Theres levels to this shit

at first i thought Ben had no shot .. Paul has looked real good in both of his fights, even though they've been against amateurs...but Ben seems to have taken Jake seriously and has been seen training with some elite level strikers, and many other pros seem to think it will be an easy fight for Askren... so, they must know something the rest of us regular folk don't know... and i hope their rite, i'll be rooting for Askren

Askren's edge is cardio and possibly his chin. If it isn't cracked yet. But Jake overwhelmingly has the advantage with his striking and his power. Youth doesn't always matter, but he's got that too.

All evidence points to a granite chin. So yes. If he can take knees and Robbie Lawler punches without getting Ko'd I'm pretty positive that he can take a punch from Paul with bigger gloves. Jeez you KO a basketball player and all of a sudden you're Julian Jackson
Don't be disrespectful to juilian jackson with any association to Jake or Ben. Also look at those fights again. The devil is in the details. He's clearly affected by those hard shots. You have to really watch the fights and understand what you're seeing. You can't just be a casual going into this debate. WAR JAKE PAUL

Wasn't champion boxer Paulie Magnillali supposed to starch MMA reject Artem Lobov?

He did to anyone sensible who was watching.
Artem landed one punch and a headbutt. Shit was garbage.
Ishe Smith dominated the MMA guy they put in front of him.
And that Dat Nguyen guy won the Bareknuckle title.
War Boxing.
War Jake.
