UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs Gastelum

I'm liking "Thud" here. $olecki is a legit grappler. No shame there.

I would not bet Alhassan after he got KOed stiff last novemeber, 6 months ago. He was out cold for like a good 2 minutes stiff as a board. And now to play him at -300 when he is moving up? Granted, Malkoun looked like hot garbage against a similar power puncher in Hawes and he also got brutally KOed.

If you think Razak will win, just play him (T)KO in Round 1. It's literally the only way he has ever won. KO inside 1, otherwise he loses. No value at -300 when I bet you his round 1 prop is gonna be like +money. Maybe even something like +200.
Betus fucked up. Has his rd 1 W at +1100.

Seems like Arlovski is getting the "short notice ultimatum" treatment that JDS got when they offered him Tybura on short notice and cut him when he turned it down. Arlovski speaks about how he feared UFC was going to cut him.

I generally don't think too highly of Sherman but this is worth factoring in if you were gonna bet this fight.

I figured this as well. The UFC isn't doing any favors to the long time vets -- they'd rather bring in contender series fighters for a fraction of their pay.

Chase has some solid leg kicks, and despite Arlovski's tenacity in his last 5 or so fights, his chin is still glass more or less.

There are a few dogs on this card I want to bet on, but I'm hesitant on doing so. Sherman +110/GM3 +120/Munoz +125/U4.5 in the ME @ +115.

Probably just going to play it smart and let my parlay ride, as I beat the shit out of the line movements on Cortez/Gravely.

You like the guy who's had 4/5 UFC fights against good competition and a full camp over the guy making a short notice debut? I don't see it...

I have to watch some tapes but at first glance I actually like Arlovski in this one.If he managed to get a decision win over Boser,I think he should drain it out against Sherman too.

If ya know ya know. Genuinely appreciate the sarcastic reply. I need sarcasm to help start my day almost more than I need air and caffeine.

Arlovski probably making 250-500k per event. Not saying it happens here but Dana is going to keep throwing prospects at him until he can cut the Pitbull loose and balance his budget. Dana about to sign 10 prospects for what he is paying Arlovski, chalk it up to the game.

Going back and forth on the Romanov - Espino fight, I think Espino is the more skilled guy technically, but Romanov is just a bear who absolutely mauls things. Espino is also 40 and inactive, and his best win is technically Maurice Greene... think I have to favor the bear in this one, also for fun, they should put Romanov against Maurice Greene next because it would be hilarious.

But this kills the "Crochet Boss". I agree with your read on Espino and Romanov so far. On a random note though I'm oddly fond of Maurice Greene. Maybe it's the gentle giant thing, I both think the man shouldn't be in the ufc and I honestly hope he does well in life at the same time. Ignore the rambling but back to topic yeah Romanov's physicality is impressive, the man is a physical force for sure.

I think I liked Maurice Greene early on in that TUF season, and then later he just came off as a hostile drunken asshole, after that I've kind of been rooting against him.

Im taking Whitaker to Win and Espino to lose. Don't take my word for it.

I don't think it's anything significant. He starts off saying "I ask for fight" and that he was in camp helping someone get ready for their fight right after the Aspinall fight.

Dakota "Hairy" Bush using the same meme worthy level of fight name as Andrew "Dirty" Sanchez xD

interesting that romanov is the close favorite over espino, romanov is a big boy but I don’t think he’s gonna easily get espino down and if it stays on the feet i’d have to say that el guapo is more comforta...less terrible than romanov, who irrc looked terrified to strike with fucking rodgerio de lima

I think I'm gonna lay a good bit on Espino ITD.

His BJJ/cardio are going to win him this fight. Might sprinkle the rd2/rd3 props as well.

Curious to see if Fatstelum makes weight. I know who I would bet to finish a pack of oreos first.
