Fury has been fighting since he was a kid. He's a born fighter who grew up amongst fighters.

He'd fuck this flavour of the month up and wouldn't break a sweat.

Fury is a boxer and nothing more. He would get slammed on his bald head with his square boxy grandfather body and finished brutally with donkey kong punches get depressed and gain 200lbs again.

Honestly this is stupid though. They will never fight. Pointless to discuss further. You're entitled to your opinion. I respect that.

I keep forgetting that most MMA fans know absolutely nothing about fighting.

It was obvious to me from the look on Dana's face when he was putting the belt on Frank that the propaganda machine would start rolling this direction. And indeed it has. They all win, it will be one of the biggest PPV's of all time most likely, regardless of the competitiveness of the actual fight.

Dana, Conor, and co. all knew Conor had zero chance vs Floyd. They also gave zero fucks about that with the amount of money at stake.

In a real, unarmed fight I'd favor Ngannou . But MMA fans need to realize that although MMA is closer to a real fight it's still far off from a real fight. A real fight is a lot more random, athleticism matters more and things that you'd expect to translate, don't.

Anyone claiming that Fury would KO Ngannou in boxing has probably just started watching Fury fight. His nickname is pillowfists for a reason. He'd dance around Ngannou in boxing, maybe Ngannou lands a bomb, but probably not.

In a real fight however, Ngannou brutalizes Fury. Makes him wish he was never born.
Ngannou has a chin, but so did Wilder. And that's not even talking about Ngannou being stopped do to exhaustion.

And Wilder is probably the least technical champion boxer in history. Look at the shots that he is catching Fury with:
Don't think Ngannou has ever thrown a left hook as tight as in that gif.

So the question on who wins in a real fight becomes: which of the two can get their hands on better weapons, and knows how to use them. Has either done any military service?

Lol we aren't in jungle... most of the time street fights are unimpressive.

Actually very few people will go to the point where they risk a jail sentence (fortunately).

If a taxi cab driver like Francesco Pianeta can take Fury's pillow like punches on the arms and keep walking forward, Ngannou can do the same. And if Ngannou decides to throw caution aside, eat shots and throw bombs, he may land one of them. Fury has good head movement, but he still gets hit. The shots Wilder dropped him with were very wild.

Ngannou has shot guns before at least:

Ngannou could easily do the same if Fury isn't on the ball the entire fight.

No. Wilder is a patient boxer who can control the distance very well and will wait until either his jab lands or stuns his opponents before he starts swinging. He has quicker hands than Ngannou and most importantly the cardio to go all 12 rounds. Ngannou has heavy hands and good technique but he's slower and his striking is very predictable. And that cardio has been and always will be his problem even with pacing.

Dewey Cooper, Wilder's trainer, was hesitant on answering whether Ngannou hits harder than Wilder. What makes you think Ngannou hits harder? I don't know about power alone but I see Wilder to be the more devastating puncher out of the two. So no, I don't see Ngannou easily being able to do the same.

Explosiveness and strength matter more in street fight. “Real” fights happen in places where they can’t go on for too long without interference. The amount of damage you can do in a short period of time makes a big difference. Ngannou is likely significantly stronger and faster. He’s explosive and athletic for a big man. He also is more used to clinching, standup grappling, holding and hitting, slamming people on their head etc.

While I think the odds would be in Ngannou’s favour, anything can happen in a fight. The more variables you introduce, the less predictable it gets. A street fight has more variables than any other type of fight. You often don’t get to pick the time, place, whether you are in the right mindset, in the right type of shape, if you’re sober, in the middle of a conversation, whether you’re wearing dress shoes etc.

Ngannou knowing how to shoot is 1000x more important in a real fight than being good at unarmed fighting, so that's a definite plus for him.

If Ngannou thought he hit as hard as Wilder he'd be begging for a big money boxing match against Wilder, who as you say is not an extremely technical boxer. Ngannou would make more money boxing Wilder than in MMA, and it'd be power against power. So why isn't he looking for that fight? Because he knows Wilder hits way harder than he does.

Becaue Tyson Fury is the money fight, not Wilder. Wilder's biggest paydays have come from him fighting Fury. He's not a draw at all.

He KO'd Wilder so obviously he can KO Francis...

How so...? Wilder may be very tall, but he consistently weighs in around the low 200's. Lowest I've seen him is like 213. He could easily go down to Cruiserweight. While Fury would have to amputate 3 limbs and lose 40 pounds of fat to do that.

KOing a guy who's 213 for someone like Fury who weighs like 280 isn't that hard. Ngannou has a diamond chin and is 265 shredded. He can definitely take more punishment.

Ngannou has a chin, but so did Wilder. And that's not even talking about Ngannou being stopped do to exhaustion.

I'm not saying I'd favor Ngannou to beat Fury. But Ngannou is definitely durable enough to walk through Fury's punches. And if he can cut him off and get him in the corner or against the ropes, it makes it much easier for him to land devastating bombs that could possibly finish Fury.

Which is why the best strategy for Ngannou would be to throw away any sort of caution and just walk forward. Fury doesn't have the power to hurt Ngannou badly, and one shot from Ngannou would put Fury out.

Technically, he didn't KO Wilder. It was a corner stoppage after Wilder was severely compromised by a punch to the temple in an earlier round.

Wilder came closer to getting an actual KO in the first fight when he floored Fury, who somehow survived the 10 count. If it happened in MMA I think it would have been a walkoff KO (assuming no followup punches).

Man, I just told you Ngannou's hands aren't as quick as Wilder's and his striking is very predictable. Him being shorter doesn't help. Do you honestly think Ngannou has the cardio to keep that pace for more than three to four rounds?

Wilder took shots from Ortiz, who's pretty much a harder puncher than anyone Ngannou has faced. Stipe hurt him, so yeah. Wilder is as durable if not more so than Francis. Weight doesn't directly correlate to durability when comparing mma to boxing

No, probably not. Which is why he would have to pressure Fury right at the start and get him cornered against the ropes. After that, he'd throw bombs until Fury's unconscious.

Dude, Wilder is getting injured constantly. He has broken his right hand a few times and has a metal rod in it. I wouldn't call him durable at all tbh... And the reason why he rarely gets hurt in fights is BECAUSE HE'S FIGHTING CANS. The best wins on his record are Ortiz and Dominic Breazelle, who aren't even top 5 HW's. Wilder was protected his entire career, and when he finally fought decent competition, he got destroyed. It's honestly annoying how overrated Wilder truly is.

By decent competition, you mean the best heavyweight on the planet atm? No shame in losing to there. Wilder is a significantly better boxer than Ngannou in pretty much everyway, including durability in a fight. That this is up for debate is just a sad reflection of mma's fans

Yes. But wait a second...did you just reply to me to only then repeat exactly what I said?

I watch both boxing and MMA buddy...

Record:
Tyson Fury: Vladamir Klitchko, Derek Chisora, Deontay Wilder
Anthony Joshua: Dillian Whyte, Vladamir Kitchko, Joseph Parker, Andy Ruiz, Kubrat Pulev, Alexander Povetkin, Carlos Takam

Belts:
Tyson Fury: WBC
Anthony Joshua: WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO

But Tyson Fury is the best HW? Lol, nobody that knows boxing and is objective would pick Fury over AJ. AJ's record is WAY better and he has more belts.

Anyway, I'm not saying I'd favor Ngannou to beat Fury. I'm only saying that he would have a chance, which I explained.
