I think his whole life trajectory was changed by throwing one spinning back kick.
He doesn't do that, he likely retains the title and doesn't take one of the worst beatings in UFC history(seriously that stoppage was awful).
That beating, a long with his forthcoming beatings, changed his face and his quality of life down the stretch in general.
He would've fought Bisping next, likely won, and then got a huge payday/super fight with GSP(if GSP would've even taken that fight). Maybe him and Romero don't cross paths, instead we get him vs Whittaker in Weidman's prime.
