These two athletes embody everything that sucks in women's sports (Rapinoe) and everything that could be great about women's sports (Rose). Rapinoe is just concerned with whining all day how she should be payed more for a sport that zero men and about 5 women care about (women's soccer), while Namajunas just made 15,000 male fans go crazy for her, 3 male anchors to lose their shit on air, 1 Joe rogan to cry alongside her in the octagon and 3.3 million viewers to go ecstatic. She inspired a nation a could easily probably headline a PPV if she rematches Zhang.

Rapinoe could never achieve something like this, so she bitches and whines. She know's nobody is ever gonna be passionate about woman's soccer in the way those 15K UFC fans went crazy over Rose. Just proves that men don't discriminate against women's sports. If the product is good like last night, we'll pay to watch. I guess other products like women's soccer and WNBA just aren't good... They should all take a page out of the UFC's book
 
Rapinoe is talented in her field but i agree. She seems naturally bitter though.

I think that the problem with this analogy is that the pay scale for both men and women in the UFC is the same (at least I think it is) even though it seems most people don’t enjoy women fights as much as they do the men...

In US Women’s Soccer, however, they are paid significantly less than the men and are the better product. The Women’s National team have been the best in the world for a long time while the Men’s National Team is considered a joke...
 
These [any sport other than MMA] vs MMA comparisons are stupid and annoying.

There's pretty much zero value in them and this thread does not provide anything meaningful either, you (TS) are just happy to finally have gotten the chance to use Rose's amazing performance to shit on another world class female athlete in Megan Rapinoe.
 
Well, it has been reported that the last few years the US women's national team brought in more revenue than the men's national team(does not include league revenue outside national team play) , so if it was a basic pay vs revenue, Rapinoe would have a point, but it is nowhere close to that simple. The men's team all get their health care and other benefits payed for by MLS/other leagues that they play in, where the US women's national org has to pay for that stuff, so the men's national team can afford to pay more in base salary. The women also signed contracts for more guaranteed money for all players(even bench warmers) rather than loading more to their star players. They could have signed contracts close to what the men's contracts were, but they chose different, so part of it is their own fault. The overall compensation needs to be judged, and in court it was judged that the women's complaints were baseless.

Overall, you are mostly correct TS, Rapinoe is a selfish whiner imo.

So, no women's soccer had over 15k in attendance? Pretty sure it wasnt all male last night, also they were not there just for Rose or Valentina's fight, they were for Usman and the whole card, also she had the crowd going crazy cause she had the finish, like a spectacular goal that seals a great game at the last second of the women's world cup, its a timed sport so it cant end just because a team scored in the first minute.

PS: Im not defending women's soccer over womens MMA, not even defending soccer or any other sport. I have no idea who she is.
 
I don’t get this. Did Rapinoe talk about the ufc and women fighters recently?
