5'7 Joe Rogan thinks only 50 untrained people in the world could beat him

I mean, I can tell you with confidence that of all the people in the world who have never played Starcraft before, at most 0 could beat me. If IQ is the gaming equivalent to size in fighting, I'm not in the upper weight classes.

Claim seems outlandish at first glance but I wouldn't argue against it.

My life for auir

Players at Rutgers and some of the most dominant defensive linemen in modern NFL history is very different. Myles Garret and JJ Watt are both 6’4” or 6’5” (280+). Freak athletes for real. Plus, the range of a 6’1” fighter vs a 5’4” Joe Rogan is very different. Similar, but not so similar scenario….
Joe rogan would be in a better one at 5'8 200 lbs, steroided, HGH, testosterone and 40 years experience.

There’s more than 50 farmers in this country. They ain’t all gone yet.

There’s some bad “untrained” mofo’s in this world and there’s a hell of a lot more than 50 of them.

He doesn’t think someone like JJ Watt or Myles Garrett couldn’t just pick him up and slam him on his head in a street fight? I know Joe has the advantage on the feet and ground technique wise, but there are just some people out there that have naturally good reactions, balance, power, and speed. Plus the fact that their strength is top 10% in the world.

Now, I could be wrong and those two guys could be in the 50 guys list if he thought about it, but I just don’t see them being push overs even for someone who has trained.
Can you imagine a 260 pound , 6'10 NBA power forward picking little Joe up and slamming him on his head on a sidewalk?
Lol, that statement he just made would crawl back into his mouth like some horror movie.

Guys like JJ Watt aren't the toughest guys in the NFL. As much as that guy can move people around, he would probably get lit up by your typical 215lb safety, and a stud 240lb linebacker like a Lawrence taylor or Derick Thomas would fuck him up on the field, in the Locke room, or in the back parking lot. Speed kills man.

Yes I agree that speed kills if you’re in the ball park athletically, but a 53 year old trained Joe Rogan against a guy like Myles Garrett or JJ Watt is clearly different than either guy going up against a prime Lawrence Taylor….

Untrained in martial arts? Or just lazy bums who dont work out?

theres people who have never trained who have been able to kill others with their bare hands. Also, legit training is one, but theres people who are street fighters who never train and can throw hands.

the really funny thing is there are hundreds if not thousands of teens in high school with no training whatsoever that would whoop 52 year old joe rogans ass. no questions about it SON

It boggles my mind people don't understand this. Yes fighting is dangerous even for a trained individual and you can lose... but it's just not likely.
Why would you even watch MMA if you essentially just thought it wasn't viable, realistic or applicable.
Maybe it gives them hope being untrained themselves and comparing themselves to fighters or athletes idk.

Dunno.

It's always good to respect opponents.

To think someone with zero training has a good shot against someone with a lifetime of training is the ultimate form of disrespect.

Some people are natural fighters no matter how much that might bother some posters. The reality is that fighting is an organic part of the human experience, and a certain part of the population can instinctively do it well. Now obviously this doesn't mean that submissions, or "proper" technique encompasses that instinct, but for the sake of the topic, it would be enough for many untrained individuals to easily take Rogan out. Rogan after all isn't and never has been a professional fighter himself.

Humans have been fighting since our existence. We've been playing tennis for like 80 years lol. It's hilarious to think that we don't have natural fighting instincts. Clearly some more than others

Absolutely

I think a trained guy Joe's size could beat down JJ Watt, but not a trained guy in his 50's. That's why I said in my first post that it would have to be Joe in his prime. A guy like JJ Watt would probably hurt a 50 something dude to bad for him to recover and pull guard or incorporate stamina. Joe probably doesn't have the speed and reflexes at his age to prevent a guy like Watt from slamming him or catching him with a punch that would fuck him up to the point he couldn't recover imo.

Also, in all these trained guy vs untrained athletic monster debates, Lawrence Taylor is absolutely the gold standard. His personality rules out all the is he a fighter/is he tough factors. He is a perfect example of an A level athlete with the mindset of a fighter. He's a guy that could fuck up some pro hw fighters with just the basics like basic striking and take down defence imo. He's basically a carbon copy of Franicis before training.

It’s hard to say. I’ve rolled about 100 or so railway bums in my early teens. I’ve laid out so many by cheap shot. And have kicked or punted so many groins in.

most people are cowards even trained. Hair ears eyes nose balls. Everyone is equally vulnerable it’s how badly you want to hurt and not get hurt.
