Define childhood
I'll say my pre-teen years count, up to 13.

Mine would probably be so gross with a bunch of pop-punk and nu-metal, and just a handful of bands

Owned these legit CDs

Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler
Sum 41 - Does This Look Infected?
Sum 41 - Chuck
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
Linkin Park - Meteora
System of a Down - Self-titled
System of a Down - Toxicity
System of a Down - Steal This Album
System of a Down - Mezmerize
System of a Down - Hypnotize

Didn't have legitimate copies of these but my brother would DL them for me or the majority of songs

Blink-182 - Enema of the State
Blink-182 - Take Off Your Pants and Jacket
Blink-182 - Self-titled
POD - Satellite
Aqua - Aquarium
Billy Talent - Self-titled
Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
Eminem - The Eminem Show
Rammstein - Mutter
Rammstein - Reise, Reise

14 year-old me would probably say.

Weezer - blue album
Nirvana - Nevermind
Nirvana - in utero
Green Day - Dookie
Green Day - insomniac
Offspring - Smash
Silverchair - Freak show
Sepultura - Roots
Radiohead - the bends

That's probably about it, I don't think I listened to many albums then because I had to buy them with my pocket money. I really envy the fact that kids now can just get Spotify.

I can’t think of 20 right now. If I consider my childhood to be up until about 15 years old, I’ll go with this.

Soundgarden - Superunknown

Built to Spill - Keep it Like a Secret

At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command

Linkin Park - Meteora

Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf

Mars Volta - De-loused in the comatorium

Nirvana - In Utero

Minus the Bear - highly refined pirates

Shame we didn't grow up at the same time, you're way younger than me.

Ten, Dirt, Wish You Were Here, Blood Sugar and especially that Prodigy album, were so important to me.

I just got ASMR reading this. How are you with new Gary Numan? Pretty much the same as old Numan? I saw him do Cars with NIN the first time I saw NIN. Melted.

I guess that fits in here for a couple of people

Yeah, all the electronic or new romantic artists I liked as a kid, I pretty much lost contact with as soon as I discovered my love of heavy metal in my mid-teens. I haven’t really paid any attention to Numan since the end of the 80s

May I ask how old you are? I didn't think about Numan till I saw him with NIN in 2009, I loved Cars growing up but didn't know too much of his other stuff. When My Name is Ruin came out a few years ago I was in heaven.

Didn't know he was going to show up so I lost the plot.

This was the gig I was at, I was more happy for Trent than I was for me, he proper fanboyed it. It was wicked.
