Karelin probably had more of that squeeze your head off carry heavy shit around strongman kinda strength, while Ngannou likely has more explosive power.
Agreed. Does that make him a great mma fighter?he was only the greatest greco roman wrestler of all fucking time
Damn his daughter is too hot, does she have a husband?!??View attachment 871727
Karelin today (with daughter) still looks like an absolute functional strength unit. Check out the hands, head, shoulders … the quite tall 20-something lady looks like a child … at 55 I’d say he could still overpower 99.999% of people on functional strength alone.
No, no there isn't.
Punching power comes from leverage. This is why wrestlers usually hit really hard (they have good balance/leverage).
Most of the big punchers in boxing are lanky guys with long arms/broad shoulders.
We've seen a few people pick up Shaq, Lesnar has picked up people significantly larger than Shaq. Should you add him to your list?Yes we have. He picked up Shaq
Take your own advice, ive most likely been into mma long before you.u need to go back to whatever sport u used to watch. u dont have a clue what ur talking about
Agreed. Does that make him a great mma fighter?
Not at all
There are plenty of elite boxers known for their power that wouldn't be able to outlift your average gym bro
Someone who is insanely strong in lifting weight is also more likely to be stiffer when it comes to explosive movements
agreed. thanks for a sensible response.Nah, he wasn't an MMA fighter, impossible to know. He had a great base with his training, but ultimately if you make someone like that into an MMA fighter their greatness in their sport of choice diminishes because of training time and effort, etc.
Or, you look like Ben Askren. Nobody wants to see Karelin look like that.
Correct, boxing is full of such examples.
Some boxers punch ridiculously hard, but can be physically outmuscled in the clinch, and conversely some boxers are very physically strong but can't crack an egg.
Punching power is about speed, explosiveness, and technique. Physically strength is very different.
Anyone who thinks the 2 are closely linked doesn't know much about combat sports.
Whats your point then? all of them are on peds, who cares? even with peds they arent as strong as brock cause he is a genetic freak, karelin and ngannou arent.
As DC would say to khabib 'don't make me call Jordan Burroughs'Russian wrestling > usa wrestling.
Yes brock has been juiced but not always, he was juiced in his first wwe run before ufc, in the ufc he was clean except the hunt fight, how do i know? its easy to see by his shape, being juiced has a certain look. Now if Brock was juiced with no weight limit poor karelin would get smashed."Brock would beat karelin in a fight no question, specially if brock was also juiced like karelin and didnt have to cut weight, karelin would get smashed."
If he was also juiced? What do you think he popped for? Paracetamol? Ain't nothing natty about brock.
Did you make this thread hoping people would say Francis or something? Stipe appeared stronger then Francis in the first fight, so safe to say Karelin is stronger than Francis by a pretty wide margin.Yes we have. He picked up Shaq
Derrick Lewis?Let's start with the facts. Karelin lost to a guy in the Olympics who also starred on the Biggest Loser.
Who is the fattest person Ngannou has lost to?

well considering that Karelin was pumped up with the strongest state sponsored super steroids that Russian scientists ever created, i'd say Karelin.
Then why wasn't he suspended
