How should the Federal Government handle the unvaccinated?

One of my Facebook friends I grew up around currently is quarantined and has lost his taste and smell being fairly sick.

Fully vaccinated. He’s a gay leftie so his post thanked the vaccine for keeping him from being more sick, respectively.

What is your point? I bet you that a mathematician knows how to interpret statistical results better than any medical doctor.

The point was in the bottom part of my post if you would bother to read it.

Not a very good point. Any PhD can interpret the statistical results of a medical study. It's about knowing statistics, which any PhD would be well versed in.

They aren't just going over statistics in the post I quoted, your response is entirely irrelevant.

It still makes you a selfish person not to want to wear a mask but that has nothing to do with what I said as I was talking about non vaccinated people who also won't wear a mask or social distance.

Its not a beta test for the future. Its happening now. Deaths are the lowest they've been since the start of the pandemic, yet the government is power grabbing more than now ever. Masks are coming back for the vaccinated across the country. Vaccine mandates are here. Again, at a time when the deaths extremely low. If the restrictions aren't coming off now, they never are.

Yea, I can see that too.

My job/HR is currently considering making the vax mandated to work. They having a “special meeting” today. That, or undergo rigorous, weekly testing.

Im gonna opt out the vax for the weekly testing, see how long I can hold out. Im sure my bargaining unit will vote go ahead and get it so I cant count on them to stand up and say hell to the no.

Sure because they don't care about their neighbors. I get your point but sometimes tough love is required for a few.

Some of the things you choose to feign outrage about boggles the mind . . . .

It’s honestly sad what’s happened to lefties. The common sense was not coming more from the right for quite a long time, now it’s not close. The left are mislead shills and get owned in debates like these, and can only resort to name calling and childish measures.

Funny when some clown on double yellows bitches about others name calling or being childish.

Please, for one second consider that the information you are working from has been provided by the largest spenders on advertising in the world.

The fact that you think some ominous “antivax” contingent is out marketing these companies is laughable.

I understand, drug companies are bad. I don't discount their track record of putting profits before the well-being of the people. But this is a little different. We have massive amounts of data that point to the vaccine being extremely effective, you can't discount that.

Secondly, the vaccine mechanism isn't experimental. It's been happening since smallpox and only getting better, there is no denying that. mRNA technology has been in development for 10 years. It started with MERS. This type of vaccine has been in various stages of trial for 8 years. Hell, when COVID came along it was in stage 2 for MERS. The beauty of mRNA vaccines is that they can quickly be tuned for a different virus because they don't rely on the incubation of chicken eggs to be developed. And since MERS and SARS are similar in the S protein, the shift was fairly straightforward.

I just think it silly to promote one drug created by evil pharma off label use as a therapeutic but in the same breath denounce a vaccine, created by the same industry, specifically targeted for this virus that is showing a great level of protection.

How long do you think your employer is going to want to keep shelling out their cash for your weekly testing?

You could have left out the entire portion that he is a gay lefty but for some reason, you thought that was important to mention.

What are your thoughts on how the unvaccinated should be handled by the federal government, considering the media is doing everything in their power to blame the unvaccinated for the Delta variant.

Im curious to see what everyone thinks.

Biden and the left force home owners to keep tenants who don't pay on for another 60 days. Biden signs into law that biological men can compete in women's sports. Biden screws up the boarder and prevents security from doing their job. But sleepy Stalin can't put in measures to punish those who don't get vaccinated?

They never had the power in the first place, they just assumed it. They can't declare whatever they like an emergency and do what they want. This objectively isn't an emergency. Their is a vaccine available for anyone who wants it and people are doing whatever they wish and not dropping dead. The only people theoretically at risk are the unvaccinated, and that's a choice they made. They aren't putting anyone else at risk, despite the hysteria.

Their isn't any emergency and the pandemic is essentially over. Deaths are more or less nonexistent. This is being done for nothing more than increasing political power.

You're wrong, they've always had that power.

So you're shitting non-stop at antivaxxers, a class of people who don't want the vaccine, dont want masks, don't want lockdowns, and hate you on top of that, while pretending to care about them and also insisting the rest of us should have to wear masks and shut down solely to protect these people even though we are perfectly safe. Dude, just no. Let it go and move on. We need to get back to our normal lives. These people do not want your help.

No, it's completely fine argument to make in the context.
Their credentials don't tell us anything about whether their claims are correct or false.

And even if authority is the basis you use for judging the truthfulness of a claim, PhD > MD when it comes to scientific research.
