Who hits harder Fury or Ngannou?

He wouldn’t punch like that in boxing. He took a calculated risk there and it paid off. Watch the second Stipe fight for his compact hard punches.

would he have succeeded in boxing? I don’t know but that barrage isn’t really relevant to the question.
Francis has the capacity of being more calculated.. for sure.

But his biggest advantage in MMA is his physicality and it's crazy to think that most boxing HWs would tower him (Fury, Joshua, Wilder are all taller than him).

Fury has more power in a punch all day just simply from superior technique and throwing hands for years, remember Francis hasn't been training all that long in the grand scheme.

I think it's a very fair question though if you were to ask who is naturally stronger. Francis with that sand mine strength is likely stronger when it comes to sheer raw strength.
This is silly. Within a few years of taking up the sport wilder was already one of the hardest punchers on the planet. Just saying he’s trained longer doesn’t make one more powerful.

Depends on who they're hitting. If they punched me clean on the chin, it'd feel like a tickle. I'm pretty ticklish though so it would definitely wobble me.

Does not matter.

If you are more accurate, with better technique, no wasted movement, and don't telegraph your shots you don't need to hit harder. Silva, Machida and others have shown this, repeatedly, as have many boxers.

If you catch someone not moving with the punch, their own momentum and mass do a lot of the work for you. If you hit someone in the right spot, accurately, you don't need tons of power.

Ngannou probably needs more power, because his skill is inferior, so he needs enough power to overcome not hitting his target cleanly. Fury, with more skill, doesn't need the extra power, because he's much closer to his intended target on a consistent basis.

If I need to hit with X amount of force to KO someone, cold, then hitting it with X + .01% vs X + 150% gives you exactly the same result. Probably a better result than missing the target with X + 150%.
This same argument could be used to say fury is more powerful than wilder…

Then I wager you haven’t seen much of Foreman or Shavers.

That said, I agree for his size, pound for pound, Wilder is absolutely a freak of nature. Foreman and Shavers were thick, massive men. Wilder is a touch small compared to the modern heavyweight.

I take nothing away from the man at all. I just don’t think he has the concussive power that George Foreman had. Wilder throws punches with bad intentions. George looked like he was sparring. He absolutely decapitated motherfuckers and had them slobbering like retards with jabs that had zero torque behind them.

The closest any fighter in MMA came to Foreman-esque power was actually Shane Carwin, not Ngannou or those guys.
LOL @ Foreman's power

Foreamn knocked down Frazier 6 times

Frazier got up 6 times

This is chinny 200lb Frazier (legally blind in one eye)

Any true power puncher who landed on chinny 200lb Frazier ...Frazier would not get up even once.
Frazier would be dead if punches had landed from Wilder, Wlad Klits etc

Incidentally Wilder & Wlad's punch are the only ones I've seen where even if it's blocked by the arms the guy moves back 5 feet from the transfer of kinetic energy.
Watch the Wlad v Mercer fight.
No need to mention Wilders fights

Again, if you're talking about hitting a punching machine where you can load up and put your whole wait into it in a way you would never do in a real fight, then prob Ngannou.

In terms of practical power? Fury and its not even close because Fury is a world champion boxer

fury would hit way harder than ngannou

i bet canelo hits harder than francis

Ngannou. Being a boxer doesn't necessarily make you the harder puncher

If you could choose one to punch you in the face for a million dollars who would you pick? Im not picking the guy who sent overeem to the Shadow realm

Guess that last fight has non boxing fans thinking Fury is a murderous puncher lol. He’s big so by default he doesn’t have soft punches, but he doesn’t hit as hard as Ngannou.

How anyone would even question this is beyond me. World of morons. Obviously, Ngannou doesn't have the level of boxing acumen of Fury, but he clearly can swing that weight faster.

I think fury and ngannou probably have similar punching power, but if ngannou was a boxer who threw punches like one, he’d probably be able to hit harder than fury

Yes. I doubt Fury has more raw force on his punches, but he's clearly a much, much better technician.
